A Mile Away
Here I am looking at you from afar.
You don't see me because I choose to hide.
Your perfect face glows in the sunset
Yet I stand a mile away.
The girl on your arm is a fantasy
Your dream girl is standing where I am.
You love me, you just don't see it yet.
Why do I conceal my love?
After all this time you finally see my face
But you see a friend nothing more.
Why can't you see that I love you?
I don't want to be a shoulder to cry on.
Your face reflects in my eyes,
Blinding me always.
You don't see my love and that is why
I stand a mile away.
