YAY!! I will definitely look forward to seeing those two showdowns. And the cliffie... so evil! I hope that Harry's able to get a decent nights sleep. I'm also pleased that he's reasonably intelligent too.Author's response
I...am evil...in the shape of a short, skinny college girl. All bow down and give me biscotti and coffee! ...but really, I'm just taking lunch now. I've several paragraphs of chappie 9 written. Never fear.To Rewrite History

I like the way you are portraying the Hogwarts professors - they are involved and supportive. You did an excellent job with Neville, too. I could see his shock. This story is rapidly becoming a favorite.Author's response
Thanks very much! I pulled from the behavior of people with phobias and how they behave when they're trying not to show any reaction. I'm glad you think it worked. Today ought to be a two-chapter update, by the by. I won't leave you hanging on that cliffie too long.To Rewrite History

Another nice chapter. One thing that I think that could improve it is to make as few changes to the canon as possible. I spent as much time wondering why Professor McGonagall wasn't handing out the time tables to the Gryffindors as I did everything else combined.Author's response
For the most part I'll be sticking extremely close to canon for the little things--passwords, timetables, when they learn what.... You have an excellent point, and it's one I agree with. I just decided to give the poor woman a break and make the twins' prefect roommate pass the schedules out--she WAS up until 1 am! pitiesTo Rewrite History

Hey this is a cool story, like the way you have him make friens with his family and the malfoys and other slytherins. also like the R&D developementsAuthor's response
The R&D developments are crucial to the plot--keep your eye on those. (Not just the mobile phones, but everything evolving from their work)!To Rewrite History

What a great chapter;
Harry really does like his coffee, I for one wouldn't want to be on his bad side before he got enough coffee in him.
throw hexs to jeansvenus fir the cliff hangerAuthor's response
am ducking hexes I have two pages of the next chapter written! I'm working on it! -+- I figured the "Savior of the Wizarding World" ought to have a weakness, even if it is a caffeine addiction. I can write THIS one really, really well...To Rewrite History

Thank you for the Ron/Hermione thing.. hell, just about ANYBODY else.. in any event.. this story continues to impress me, even after the too quick turnarounds for the Dursleys and the Malfoys.. that doesnt matter. it will be interesting to see the Snape conversation, inasmuch as he is directly responsible for the deaths of Harry's parents.Author's response
...Ahh, the Snape and Harry conversation...my God...that whole thing practically wrote itself....oh, the yelling... -+- Thanks for keeping with the story even through the abrupt humanization of the Dursleys. I appreciate it.To Rewrite History

Wow, normally I don't like really dialogue-heavy stories, but its great reading the very human banter between the students. Keep it upAuthor's response
I'm glad you enjoy the way I write my dialogue, because this next chapter is almost all one long conversation.
