Moving Pictures and The First Fight
5 reviewsLeigh made a commitment to her friend, a male friend that she failed to mention. Will Pete's jealousy get to him?
0Unrated
Pete awoke the next morning in the guest bedroom. He had slept very well considering that he wasn't actually with Leigh. He guessed that being close to her calmed him down almost as much as holding her did. He came out of the bedroom wearing his batman pajama pants and a black tshirt, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes with one hand and fussing with his hair with the other.
"Oh, hey Pete," Martha smiled at him as she put away the towels in hallway cabinet.
"Good morning, Martha," he smiled. "Is Leigh up yet?"
"Nope...i'm pretty sure she's still sleeping. You guys were up late last night," she said coyly.
A sheepish smile spread across Pete's lips. "Is it ok if I..." he couldn't get the words out.
"Wake her? Yeah, go ahead. It's about time she got up anyway." Martha made her way downstairs while Pete walked up the couple of steps that led tp Leigh's bedroom. He cracked open the door and saw Leigh sprawled across her bed. She had tiny shorts on ad a little black tanktop that was riding up her torso, revealing her smooth, tan stomach.
'Wow," he whispered as he approached her bed. He almost didn't want to wake her because she looked so beautiful. He knelt down beside the bed and put his hand on her stomach.
"Baby...time to wake up," he whispered. No response. "Seriously sweetie...Leigh," he gently rubbed her stomach and got closer to her, "you have to wake up now." He got closer again only to have Leigh turn and slap him in the face.
"Jesus Christ!" he yelled, waking up Leigh.
"Oh my God! Pete, I'm so sorry! Baby," she put her hand on his face," did I hurt you? I'm so sorry. I was having a weird dream."
"Nope...you're good," Pete winced as he sat down on the floor. Leigh frowned and went to sit down facing him. Pete hid his face in his hands to keep from laughing.
"You ass!" she giggled as she playfully slapped his leg. "I thought I really hurt you." Pete went in for a kiss but Leigh leaned back. "Nu uh!" she shook her head playfully.
"Uh huh," Pete giggled as he pounced ontop of her, planting little kisses all over her body. Leigh protested at first but couldn't help give into him. She put her legs around his waist and locked him in her grasp, kissing him deeply.
"Wow guys...afternoon delight much?" a voice came from the door. Grace was standing over them, her hands on her hips. Pete looked up and smiled at her, causing her to turn red.
"Hey Gracie," Leigh smiled as she looked up to Grace. "We were just..."
"Saying good afternoon," Pete finished as he crawled off Leigh and helped her up. They sat on the couch and stared at Grace.
"Sorry to barge in, but Leigh remember we're going to that premier at the university tonight? Ya know...Dan's movie?"
"Oh fuck...I completely forgot," Leigh sighed as she put her head in her hand. "Pete, my really good friend Dan just finished his senior project film and I promised i'de be there."
"So go," he smiled, "I'll stay here and hang out with the family."
"What? No, you can come with me. I was just upset because I didnt know if you had anything special you wanted to do," she grabbed his hand and looked into his eyes.
"I just came to be with you. But honestly I dont think it's a good idea for me to go to that. I might...I dunno, take away from Dan? I know that sounds cocky but.." he trailed off.
"I dont care, I want you there. You are my boyfriend and my friends have to deal with it. You're not Pete Wentz to me anymore, Pete. You're my Pete," she smiled as she rubbed his leg.
"I dunno," he sighed.
"It'll be fine, just like...lay low or something," Grace smiled at him.
"Yeah...I guess. I mean it will be in a dark theatre, right?" he looked at Leigh, who nodded in response.
"Cool...we shall go then," Leigh got up from the bed. "I'm going to go shower in my bathroom. Pete, if you want you can shower in my mom's bathroom."
"Sounds like a good idea," he smiled and got up, walked towards Leigh and hugged her from behind.
"I guess I'll go now. I'll see you guys tonight at the school," Grace said as they made their way into the hall.
"Yup, see ya later!" Pete called.
About 20 minutes later, Leigh emerged from the bathroom in a towel. Pete was walking into his guest bedroom with a towel around his waist, he stopped in the doorway and smiled.
"Hi," she said sheepishly.
"Hello," he smiled and gave a cute little wave as he walked towards her. "You look beautiful."
"Are you kidding? My hair is all wet and i have no makeup on and," Pete put his hand to her lips to keep her from saying anything.
"I said you look beautiful...deal with it." He stared into her eyes, making Leigh's heart melt. She placed her hand on his chest and stared into his eyes.
"Oh hey...I was gonna ask you. Can I borrow your hair straightenher?" Pete asked as if it was the most normal thing in the world for a boyfriend to ask his girlfriend. Leigh couldn't help but giggle.
"Yeah...sure," she smiled as she went into the bathroom and came back with the straightener. "Knock yourself out, pretty boy," she winked. "I'm gonna go down and grab some grub. I haven't eaten all day."
"I had a sandwhich earlier, your mom makes killer bread," Pete smiled as he took the hair straightener. "When are we leaving?"
"Around 5 I guess." It was 3 now. After Leigh got dressed and put her hair in a towel, she went downstairs to eat while Pete got ready. Ten minutes later she made her way back upstairs and into her mother's bathroom. Pete was staring in the mirror with his famous "grrr" face trying to get his hair to work. Leigh smiled at him from the doorway and he smiled when he saw her reflection in the mirror.
"Taking your sweet time, aren't ya?" she giggled as she walked towards him.
"Almost done...this takes time you know," he said mocking what Leigh had said to him before. "I dont just wake up pretty every day." Leigh giggled and tickled his sides, causing him to put down the straightener and turn around and grab Leigh. "Naughty Naughty," he said as he gave her a wag of his finger. Leigh grabbed his finger and put it in her mouth, sucking it sensually and giving him her best 'fuck me' eyes.
"Oh...NOT fair. You can't do that now," Pete smirked. He was still in his towel and Leigh could feel his little Petey start to pop up. She giggled and then gave him a serious face.
"Sorry, bad Leigh," she frowned and swayed from side to side like a little girl who was begging for forgiveness.
"God you're cute," he smiled as he caressed her arms. "But seriously...you know what that does to me. You shouldn't do that during the day in your parents house. Really," he said with a serious tone.
"You're right, I'm really sorry," she said sincerely. He smiled and hugged her. "I'm gonna go get ready. Can I have my straightener back? That's why I came in here."
"Oh you mean you didn't come in here intent on giving me a hard-on?" Pete smirked. Leigh shook her head and bit her lip. He sighed and unplugged the straightener. "Here you go, evil one." She smiled and walked out of the bathroom, swaying her hips and driving Pete crazy.
About an hour later, Leigh emerged from the bathroom and went into her bedroom to find Pete sitting on her bed watching TV. Her hair was straight and looked softer than Pete had ever seen it. She wore dark, straight-legged jeans and a boatneck, black fitted blouse.
"God you look amazing," Pete could barely get the words out because the sight of her had literall taken his breath away. She walked over and sat on his lap, wrapped her hands around his neck and kissed his lips before whispering "you look amazing, too."
It was five and they made their way to Leigh's car to drive over to the University, which was about a thirty minute drive. Pete couldn't help but notice the Fall Out Boy and Panic! At the Disco decals on her car.
"Your car has nice tats, Leigh," he smiled as he got into the passengers seat.
"I know! right?" Leigh said with fake surprise.
"Totally," he giggled as she started the car and plugged in her iPod.
"You don't mind if I put it on shuffle, do you?" Leigh asked. Pete shook his head. "Just to warn you though...I think there are about 60 Fall Out Boy songs on here."
"Do we have that many songs?" Pete asked sincerely. Leigh nodded. "Jesus...I didn't even realize that. That's crazy."
Leigh smiled as "I'm Like A Lawyer" came on and started to sing along as she drove. Pete listened intently as she sang. She was so amazing, even singing along down in Patrick's register. Pete knew he would have to get her to sing professionally somehow, it was too much talent to go to waste.
They arrived at the college a little late and slipped in to the back of the theatre as it got dark so they wouldn't draw attention. After the film the lights came up and they made their way out into the hall.
"LEIGH!" a whole bunch of voices came from their left. It was her closest friends from her film classes. In all there was about 7 of them, 4 girls and 3 guys, including Dan.
"Guys! Dan! Amazing movie. Really top notch," she said as she put her hand around Pete's waist. "This is Pete, my boyfriend. He's visiting for the weekend."
The guys looked at him with a little bit of disaproval on their faces, especially Dan. He had always had a thing for Leigh but never did anything about it and now he was too late. The girls looked at Pete with a mixture of disbelief and lust.
"Hi guys," he smiled widely and gave a wave. "Dan," he shook his hand, "that was a great film, man."
"Thanks...man," Dan said without an ounce of sincerity. "Leigh," he turned to her and smiled, "We're all going to Bateman's to celebrate. Do you and...your boyfriend...want to come?"
Leigh looked at Pete with hope in her eyes, who smiled down at her and nodded. "Yeah, we'de love to come," she smiled as she grabbed his hand. Bateman's was a resturant connected to the college so they all walked down there and got the biggest table they could find.
"OH...MY...GOD! It's PETE WENTZ FROM FALL OUT BOY!!!!!!" a teenage girl yelped when she saw Pete and Leigh and all of her friends. She ran over with a pack of girls and crowded around Pete. He smiled and mouthed "sorry" to Leigh and her friends before greeting the girls and signing some autographs.
"Sorry about that guys," he said as he put his arm around Leigh, causing Dan to wince, which Pete saw. "It happens...from time to time." He stared at Dan before kissing Leigh on the cheek.
"We better go before they tip someone off and tons of people show up," Leigh said. She started to get up but Pete pulled her down.
"No, we are here with your friends. It's rude to leave. We just got here."
"No you should go," said Dan. "We don't want there to be riot." Pete gave him an evil eye before getting up.
"Maybe you're right, we should go." Leigh gave a slight frown and hugged everyone before she left. She hugged Dan last, who held her too tight for Pete's liking. As they made their way to the garage Pete couldn't help but bring it up.
"So that Dan guy...Did you guys have a thing?" he said looking at the ground, his hands in his pockets to try and keep from Leigh's gaze.
"What?" she gasped. "No...Jesus. What on earth made you think that?"
"Just the way he acted around you. He stared at me like he hated me. He winced when I kissed you. And he hugged you for a really, really long time when we left. And you smiled at him alot. I dunno...I don't like him."
"Pete, you're being silly," she giggled, grabbing his hand. He pulled away. "Pete, don't be stupid. I don't like Dan. And if he likes me or liked me or whatever I didn't know and I really don't care. You're the only one I want. You should know that by now." He didn't say anything as they got into the car. "Fine...be that way." She searched her bag angerly for her keys, turned the car on and blasted the music to keep from having to talk to Pete, who slumped down in his seat, crossed his arms, and stared out the window the entire way home.
Leigh pulled into the driveway. "Pete," she extended her arm to his and caressed it. He didn't pull away. "Baby....Pete," she leaned in as he looked over to her. "Are you okay? I'm sorry I called you stupid," he put his hand over her hand and sat up, "I just wasn't expecting that from you. You know I love you and," her sentence was interupted when Pete grabbed her face and kissed her passionately. She tried to talk against his lips but he pulled away and shook his head before diving back into her lips, running his fingers through her silky hair before moving his hands down and rubbing her back. They kissed for what seemed like ten minutes before they realized they were still in Leigh's car. He pulled away and smiled.
"I'm sorry Leigh, I just get jealous. I should trust you. You love me." Leigh nodded as she undid her seatbelt and opened the door.
"Let's go inside," she said quietly. Pete followed her up the stairs to her bedroom. She closed the door and smiled at Pete.
"You," she said as she poked his chest,"are so cute when you're jealous, by the way." She cocked her head to the side and looked up into his eyes. She trailed her finger down his torso before sliding both hands around his waist and holding him close to her. He breathed into her neck before landing a couple of kisses in the nape of it.
"Are you trying to make me horny," she giggled as he caressed her hips. She felt him nod as he slid her hands up the back of her shirt and rubbed the small of her back, pressing his his against hers forcefully. She started to walk backwards towards her bed and fell backwards onto it, with him ontop of her. It was late and her whole family was asleep, but they still had to be quiet. They made love before Pete made his way to his guestbedroom completely satisfied except for the fact that he would have to leave her on Sunday.
They spent most of the rest of the weekend indoors so they wouldn't call too much attention to Pete. On Saturday night Leigh did a little bit of homework in her bed, writing a review on a film for her genre criticism class, while Pete watched LOST on DVD. That night they fell asleep in Leigh's bed, fully clothed. Pete slightly regetted this because it was their last night together until Halloween when she would come to L.A. for his big party, but it felt nice just having her fall asleep in his arms.
Sunday came and it was time for Pete to leave. He got his luggage and they got in Leigh's car so she could drive him to the airport. Leigh walked him into the terminal and he got his ticket.
"Well...I guess I better get going," he sighed. "Don't cry, Leigh," he frowned as he whiped away Leigh's tears streaming down her face. "I'll see you in a month. We can do it. I love you," he whispered before kissing her. She nodded and hugged him and then he walked through the security gate. He looked back and waved and mouthed "I love you" once more before making his way down the terminal.
One more month Leigh thought to herself and sighed as she made her way to her car.
