Authors Note- Hello again...to those who have read the other two stories in my series welcome back for chapter 3, for those new comers I suggest that you read the other two chapters first or you could end up confused thanks.
_____________________________________________________________
Neji and his ANBU escort walked through the village not talking, they walked past the village gate not talking, they went through miles of forest not talking, Neji liked things this way uncomplicated and as for the escort Neji was sure he liked things the way they where also...Neji and his escort where finally at the end of their easy one day trek through the almost endless forest, they where to wait at the rendezvous point for as long as it took for the other two candidates two arrive they had much more land to cover then Neji did since they would be staying in the Leaf, so they set up camp and Neji contemplates training regimens for the next few days when he and his team arrived back to the village.
Temari was bored, dreadfully bored and Baki wasn't helping the situation on any level if anything he was making it worse for her. They had traveled a whole 8 meters when he began badgering her with rules, what not to do's, and even things he had no control over like how late she could stay up...he wasn't even her Sensei thank the lord for that because Temari always hated Baki and his absurd rules she couldn't wait to be free of him. She was so glad when they finally crossed the border from Hidden Sand into an unoccupied space of land that connected Sand and Leaf she was free.
"And don't under any circumstances talk to anyone that you aren't permitted to talk to, understand?" he said heatedly
"Yes Baki I understand, but what's with all the rules, I will be receiving another set of rules from my sensei that they assign us in the leaf." She said angry with him
"I am only trying to help so u don't get into any trouble and had you not been selected for this assignment I would have been you sensei if it means anything..." he trailed off
"I never knew that, will you still instruct Garra and Kunkuro?" she asked trying to take the bitterness out of her voice
"Yes I will still be their sensei and I will be seeing you in the coming weeks for the Chunin exams do not forget that" he said
"Then for a while they where silent, she felt a little sorry for Baki he would be stuck in Hidden Sand dealing with Garra with only Kunkuro for back up who didn't really have any back bone..." they set up camp for the night
Haku and Ayame where lightly chatting as they walked through the seemingly endless mist that the Country of Water was famous for. They talked about things like missions and day to day life and even what life would be like when Haku retuned from Hidden Leaf to most likely take her spot as Head of the Elite Tracking Unit of the Mist. She didn't mind though she was actually fond of the idea that someone as special as Haku would take her job and release her to a life of serenity and peace instead of the hectic on moving life of a tracker nin. They had a long way to go still because they had to take a boat ride that would no doubt last a very long time.
"Really, I never knew that well he never said anything about it to me" Haku said carrying on he and Ayame's conversation
"Oh yes Kisame wanted to be either in the Tracking Unit or the Hidden Mist Black Ops, but of course when he and Zabuza where asked to be apart of the organization as the 7 Legendary Swordsman he couldn't say no he values his sword over his own life..." she finished with a chuckle
"Of course I think it was more because Zabuza said yes then anything he worships the ground that Zabuza walks on and I really cant see why he doesn't need Zabuza" Ayame said
"I think its quite the other way around Zabuza needs someone to be with him to think he's the greatest with ought Kisame he would be lost, did u know Zabuza used to want me as an apprentice but when Kisame started to mess around with that blade he and Zabuza where best friends and when I got older I grew into the loop in a matter of speaking..." Haku said
"Ahh well you turned out fine probably better off with ought having Zabuza always there to breath down your neck like he does Kisame" she sighed
"I guess so," he said, but Haku was tired of talking about it so they both went to sleep in the uncomfortable boat waiting for the next day to come
________________________________________________________________
Neji was content for now, they had only gotten through half of this day and they might be there a while longer so he decided to practice in the forest a ways off from the camp sight, he was in total focus mode oblivious to everything around him hitting the broken tree in the exact spots to block up a particular Tenketsu if he where fighting a human opponent. With his Byakugan activates he can naturally see a whole 380 degree's around him but there wasn't much to see really... then something caught his eye he pretended he hadn't noticed and went on practicing then it moved again so he jumped high in the air and came back down right behind his assailant a cloaked figure from behind who appeared to be wearing a mask
"Who are you and what are you doing trying to sneak up on me?" Neji said forcefully
"Why its me your guard I wanted to see if you where alright so I decided to survey the area," he said calmly
Although Neji had never actually hered him speak before he pictured his voice different, he pictured it to be deeper and more obedient, but his voice was light and well slippery like a snake perfectly matching his animal mask the snake. So he dismissed it as nothing more then what he said it was
"You startled me but good work being so quiet with ought my Byakugan I probably wouldn't have spotted you but then again that's why your ANBU" Neji said then walked away back to camp feeling unnerved
Baki had gone ahead wich was strange considering he was guarding Temari why would he leave her alone but there was a beaten path that he was fallowing into the land of fire so she focused her Chakra then opened up her fan threw it a ways before she ran and jumped on to take flight... after a time she noticed him walking ever so slowly as usual so she glided downward and landed right beside him
"Why did you go ahead and just leave me there asleep we could have covered more land if you had woken me" she said angrily
"I thought I would give you some space and I needed some time to think so I went ahead you where not attacked where you?" he asked with a touch of concern in his voice
"No but had I been you would not have been there and I could have been... well injured or worse killed" she knew it was unlikely that she could be taken down by anyone less then a special Jonin she still wanted to make him feel bad
"Oh come now Temari you are the best young fighter in my eyes and many others as well in Hidden Sand Garra does not count with the demon he doesn't need to work to get strong like you do the sand does all the work" he finished
She swelled with pride and they continued walking not saying a word just walking then she realized just how much she couldn't wait to meet her other teammates they must be pretty good to be able to have been selected for the new kind of team
Haku was awake and had been so for a while now just waiting for Ayame to wake up so they could finally get off the boat and start walking through the Land of Fire to Hidden Leaf...He didn't want to wait so he picked her up and placed her gently over his shoulder and began to carry her, she was very light and easy to carry so they made some good time them she awoke to find herself slung over Haku's shoulder
"I'm awake now" she said happily she was quite glad that she didn't have to walk that extra couple of miles now
"Oh yes good morning Ayame, how did u sleep?" he asked
"Fine just fine and what about u, I hope it wasn't a burden to carry me you could have just as easily woken me" she said blushing
"Oh no it was fine no problem at all" he said then he thought of something she was the Head Tracker so she must have a tracking mask but he had never seen it (Author here-In the TV series Haku's mask has those read waves on it but in my story they are blue)
"Hey Ayame what does your tracking mask look like, I've just been wondering that really" he asked
"Oh this" she said pulling it out from her Kunai Pouch it was white as snow like Haku's with the Hidden Mist symbol at the top then there where two blue waves one was coming from the side almost to the eye then dipping down and coming back around and going straight up through the left eye then it covered most of the forehead the other blue wave was the exact opposite it come from the side almost to the eye then it curved up and came back around to go straight down through the Left eye and then covered most of the bottom part of the mask.
"That's incredible," he said admiring it, all head trackers where able to create their own mask and he couldn't wait to make one of his own
"Thank you," she said placing the mask on over her face then they continued their walk
________________________________________________________________
Approaching carefully not knowing how they where to be greeted at the Hidden Leaf rendezvous point or who was going to greet them, thought Ayame and Baki.
Neji was waiting with his escort patiently it had been 2 days almost 3 now that night was fast approaching. Training had been more then dull with no one to beat and no one to watch and cheer him on as Tenten usually saw to doing. So he couldn't wait to meet his team and get going back to Leaf.
Temari and Baki where on the fast track to coming up onto Neji's Location she had been reading all about the Leaf village and its clan but she didn't pay much attention to it. She found out how the Hyuga where strong a very formidable opponent to all ninja so she was glad to have one of their strongest members on her team. She also took a look at Hidden Mist and did some research on Haku her other teammate... she gasped as she leafed through one of her fathers scrolls that told of how he possessed 4 Kekkai Gennkai abilities and it was rumored at he had a demon inside him like Garra...She hoped he didn't show it like Garra did or felt that need to always kill to be alive.
Haku was admiring Ayame's abilities as he read through mission leaflets she had let him look over, they where missions that she would be undertaking in the next few weeks. She was a good Nin and he was glad to be able to take such a formidable ninja's place in the Hidden Mist village. The Lord Mizukage also gave him ninja info analysis on his new teammates so far all he knew was that the one from Hidden Leaf, Neji was his name was in a very strong clan the Hyuga and possessed the much sought after Byakugan Blood Line Trait... that was in fact one of the very same abilities that Haku possessed himself! Then the Nin from Hidden Sand was the daughter of the Kazekage her name was Temari, their and she was the strongest ninja in her graduating class... before he could read more on her Ayame alerted him to the figures in the clearing ahead and then the other figures sloping on the opposite end of them, They where finally there.
They all came together no one spoke until Baki the ANBU guard and Ayame approached each other and exchanged information that showed they where who they said they where then they introduced themselves.
I am Neji Hyuga of the Village Hidden in the Leaf, and then he finished with a low bow that was formal yet friendly.
I am Temari of the Village Hidden in the Sand, she finished with a slight nod that was not only friendly it was all together exciting.
I am Haku Hyoto of the Village Hidden in the Mist, he finished by removing his mask then giving a deep bow with a smile that was warm and inviting.
Haku and Temari both said goodbye to their escorts Temari wasn't to sad because she knew that during the exams she would see Baki again and Haku couldn't help but think that he to would meet up with Ayame in the near future. They all couldn't wait to get back to Hidden Leaf and take in the sights so they didn't delay and Neji and the ANBU guard led the way still not talking.
END....for now.
Author Here- What did u think read and review thanks I will be posting more and more and I know it had been slightly slow but its for suspense I guess I want you to keep coming back thank u again.
