I sat at my desk, twirling my pen round and round in my fingers. A long black sweatshirt hid my arms from view. My stomach rumbled in hunger. Evangeline had not let me eat this morning. She said her friends were coming round later and she needed the food for them. God, my life was so screwed up.

I opened my notebook and began drawing small pictures in the corners. I hummed tunelessly while i drew. I attracted attention from two girls in front of me. They spun round.

'Will you quit it, emo freak?'
'Yeah you self harming bitch. Show us your scars.' They both laughed, nastily. Tears shone in my eyes.
