The Boy With The Thorn In His Side8 reviews
A gift to me loyal readers. Enjoy!
(#) watch_the_sky 2007-03-16that was fantastic, i loved it.
(#) FrostedGlass 2007-03-21The descriptiveness of it! The entire first scene was so detailed that you have a very clear picture of it. (Which was even clearer since this is going to be my profession. ;) )
“Miss Playfair” -> That’s her actual name, huh? Very smart, Katy. :)
Oh, Peter. Falling in love with your teacher is sure to break your heart. I could feel his… well, not desperation but… dire need to communicate with her, to let her know. And to be “loved” back.
“The Student - Teacher relationship was being undone by his clever romantic drug use of the English language.” -> Excuse me? Who is drug using the English language in a clever way here? That’s right: Youse is! I loved that sentence.
“there was no question he was handsome, it was how he wore it with the 'anonymous' name tag that got her.” -> When I see the world through your eyes, Katy, it often seems a lot more interesting and richer in characters than mine. So thank you for that.
I think Pete is quite evil though. All the power he has over her.
Alright, so right after the “act” he doesn’t seem all that powerful. Did she just do him a favor? A pretty dumb and dangerous favor…
The ending is perfect. And I must repeat myself, naming her “Playfair” is genius.
This is perhaps THE best thing I’ve ever read of you. How do you manage to become better all the time? I think I must hate you… ;)
