Make Sense
Run away
From your past
Fall down
And reach for nothing
There is nothing to grab
As you fall
Into the swirling vortex
Of all of your mistakes
It makes a sea
Of despair
You try to swim
But only end up drowning
Hoping someone will catch you
Instead people only drive daggers into you
Your screams don't help
Even though you're falling
No one cares
You have nothing to reach for
Nothing to run back to
As you drown in a sea
Of mistakes
From the past
To regain their trust
You'd do whatever it will take
In hopes of relying on them
To catch you
And to hand you something to reach for
But for now
You have nothing to reach for
Nothing to gain
As you fall into the deep abyss
You try to make sense of this pain
Run away
From your past
Fall down
And reach for nothing
There is nothing to grab
As you fall
Into the swirling vortex
Of all of your mistakes
It makes a sea
Of despair
You try to swim
But only end up drowning
Hoping someone will catch you
Instead people only drive daggers into you
Your screams don't help
Even though you're falling
No one cares
You have nothing to reach for
Nothing to run back to
As you drown in a sea
Of mistakes
From the past
To regain their trust
You'd do whatever it will take
In hopes of relying on them
To catch you
And to hand you something to reach for
But for now
You have nothing to reach for
Nothing to gain
As you fall into the deep abyss
You try to make sense of this pain
