She was just 4 years old. Doesn't know about the stuff that's going on around her. Elizabeth is how they know
her by. Once her tiny little hands caressed his cheeks in laughter, he fell in love with her. Her laugh, her smile, her touch. He wanted to be in her life, to be her dad. Since she has one no more.
They were meant to be together. Everytime he walked into the room, she had a smile from one little ear to the other. She would giggle like mad when she was tickled or held by him. She would cry if she wasn't held by him. Selfish much? She knew his voice, his laugh, his eyes, everything about him and she liked it that way.
But then something happened. Something that would take him away for what seemed to be forever to
the both of them. She had no idea about what was happening just that it wasn't good. There was no more laughter or smiles. This would be goodbye for a while.~
He's playing at a concert for the billionth time in his life. Searching for something in the crowd. He hasn't forgot her. Just gradually forgeting. Then, he sees something in the crowd
that catches his eye. A poster:"Benji, I miss you! Love, Elizabeth." No. This can't be her can it? He looks at his brother, who gives the resurring look that it is infact her. "Benji." He voice calls out to him like a harmonic angel. No body notices this but him. Where is she? Why can he see her? He never gave up looking for her. Once the concert was over, he sprinted off the stage to find
her. No luck. everybody was cleared out and he still hasn't found her. "Looking for someone?" A voice called out to him. He turned around to be face to face with a 12 year old girl. "Are...you...yes." He studdered. She smiled and giggled. "/Benji/." She whispered walking up to him and embracing him in her arms. He realized was she called him. It hurt. It's been a long time. They stood there hugging and crying. Then she looked up at him with tears in her eyes, and said,
"Why didn't you come back for me?" He was heartbroken for her and ashamed for hiself. Why didn't he come back?
"There's no excuse. I've missed you and thought about you 24/7 but I don't know why I never came back. I'm sorry!" He cried again. "I forgave you once I realized you weren't coming back." She smile assuringly. "I love you Benji." There it went again. Why was she calling him by his name? "Where's my niece at?" A voice came from behind them. Niece? She was confused but put that behind her. "JOEL!" She yelled running up to him and jumped into his open arms. Benji stood there in awe. He just realized how much he really missed her. It's been eight years. Eight long years. The rest of Good Charlotte cam up to them. "Why are you here by yourself?" Joel asked confused at the situation. "My daddy dropped me off."
Benji cringed at "daddy". She shrugged like it wasn't a
big deal. "Who?" Paul asked confused. "My dad. Jason." Beth told them happily. Joel and Benji shared face expressions. "Umm, Beth go wait over there for a minute
please." Joel told her to do and she did it with a "Yes sir." "Benji, you know that's her real dad. You know what that means?!" Joel asked confused and shocked. Benji knew what that meant. But what was there to do? He was heartbroken. "Benji?" Joel asked to make sure he was still in reality. "Huh? Oh yeah. I know."
Benji walked away with a heavy heart. Beth "overheard" the conversation. What was going on? she was definately confused. What does that mean? "Joel. What's going on?" She asked. "Babe, We need to talk to your "daddy"."
He emphized the word /daddy/. "Alright." she said under her breath. Joel explained what really happened. "So Jason is my dad but Benji raised me like his own?" she asked confused. "Pretty much." Joel asked her. "But that's not what Jason told me..."
