G. For Misty.
Surprise
by Mina Lightstar
Senritsu had once remarked how silent Killua's movements could be. Over the years, that stealth had been one of many things Killua had most certainly not lost.
Not that he needed it, exactly. Gon had excellent ears, but he was distracted by both the roar of the shower and the wordless tune he was humming. Killua had been waiting outside the bathroom door, remaining very still until the sound of the water had changed. He listened for a while longer after the steady stream began hitting flesh instead of the bathtub, waiting until Gon was singing, until his friend was thoroughly absorbed in enjoying the hot water.
Then he opened the door -- slowly, so slowly, so that it wouldn't creak. When he walked inside, the humidity washed over him like a thick fog. Gon enjoyed the occasional scorching shower.
Killua moved gradually, quietly, over to the tub, where the white shower curtain hid the singing young man from view. Once Killua could tell where exactly Gon was standing, he smirked, and made his move.
He leapt and seized.
"BOO!"
"YAAAAAH! KILLUA!"
Killua retreated much more quickly than he'd come, feeling wholly satisfied. There was nothing like the sight of his best friend trying to untangle himself from the shower curtain.
