"Anna" called a familiar voice,
"Bec" she replied and ran to her friend at school, her only friend she knew
"did you enjoy maths" said Bec, Anna smiled
"you know I hate it" she replied with a punch playfully to the shoulder, Anna and Bec walked down the hallway towards the cafeteria, Bec saw a gap
"I will sit down" she said and ran to the table, pushing a few guys out of the way, Anna laughed as she waited in line and grabbed some lunch for them, Anna sat down and handed Bec some hot chips and a drink
"thanks" said Bec as she smiled, Anna looked around and noticed that people were staring
"I hate feeling left out" she replied, Bec shrugged
"you will get used to it, don't worry, its only the fact that your new and that people here don't usually see other people from around the world, Anna nodded as she had some of her chicken soup, Bec smiled
"don't worry, I am sure things will settle down, ohh I have to go, my English professor is weird and wants us to be there ten minutes before we have class, bye Anna" said Bec and grabbed her drink and left, Anna smiled and waved as she saw there alone.

After a while she looked up and gasped as she realised the time, she raced to the room where she was meant to be and opened the door
"sorry I am late" she said softly, the teacher didn't noticed what she said, so Anna went to the first available seat
"don't worry, he never care about people being late" said a guy she sat next to, Anna smiled and realised how beautiful his eyes were,
"well then I am the lucky one" said Anna as she pulled out her art book and her textas for the class to begin, the guy smiled and looked at her work and smiled
"your good, do you mind if I read it" he asked, Anna smiled and shook her head
"no of course not, go ahead" she replied, the guy looked through the book and smiled
"your are naturally talented" he said as the teacher walked past and handed out the assignment, Anna noticed that you needed to be with a partner, she looked around and saw that everyone was talking about being with who they was sitting next to, Anna stood up and grabbed her stuff, leaving her art book in the guys hands as she made her way out of the university.

"sorry, but this is yours" said the guy catching up with her, Anna smiled and nodded
"thank you" she replied and placed the book in her bag, the guy smiled
" feel like a coffee?" he asked Anna nodded as the guy lead Anna to a small café , Anna smiled when she looked around, it felt like a little bit of home was in here
"ohh my name is Gerard" said the guy, Anna smiled
"Anna, nice to meet you "she said as they sat down, Gerard ordered some coffees as he pulled out the form
"can you be my partner, all the other students are so peppy" said Gerard, Anna nodded with a small smile, Gerard smiled back and noticed how beautiful her smile was, he wanted to just stare at her but realised he couldn't, he didn't want to scare her
"so I was thinking maybe nightmare before Christmas comic with them as super heroes like superman" said Gerard, Anna nodded
"sounds cool to me" she replied as Anna checked the time
"ohh I have to go, my grandmother lives in New Jersey and I have to be there for dinner" said Anna, Gerard smiled
"I live in New Jersey" replied Gerard, he smiled
"how about I give you a lift" said Gerard, Anna smiled and nodded
"that would be nice of you" said Anna, Gerard laughed,
"no nice of my friend Frank" said Gerard, Anna looked a little worried
"I don't want to put anyone out Gerard, its okay I will catch a train" said Anna, Gerard smiled
"you wont" said Gerard and took her hand which made Niomi realise how nice his hands were,
"okay Gerard" said Anna as they walked over to the university, Gerard saw a franks car and pulled Anna towards it,
"Frank, can we give Anna a lift to her grandmothers" said Gerard, Frank nodded as they both got in. Frank smiled as he saw Anna
"so Anna, what do you do?" asked Frank, Gerard punch him in the ribs but looked at Anna to answer, Anna smiled
"well my family is into music, but I want to do art as my major" said Anna, Frank smiled
"sounds like my type of lady" he said laughing, Anna laughed as Gerard smile, he loved her laugh, she was so laughed back,
"how about friends" said Anna with a smile, Frank smiled and nodded
"deal my friend Anna" he replied, Anna smiled as she looked at Gerard who was drawing something in the front seat of the car, Frank was talking about a scorpion tattoo he like, as Anna listened and laughed and listened and then laughed again
"ohh my nan is just down this street" said Anna, Frank smiled and drove down to the end of the street and stopped
"thanks Frank, how funny, you stopped right out the front, thanks again, See you next week Gerard, ohh I will draw some for that assignment" said Anna opening the door, Gerard got out too and smiled
"this is for you" he said as he placed the piece of paper in her hand, Anna smiled
"thanks Gee" said Anna, Gerard smiled
"Gee" he said, Anna smiled more
"I like it" said Gerard softly as he got back into the car, Anna waves as they drove away and walked to her grandmothers door
"nana I am home" said Anna as she opened the door, Anna's grandmother smiled and hugged her grand daughter
"how was school? Did you have a good day?" she asked, Anna smiled and nodded as she took off her shoes and placed her bag against the wall
"yeah I did, I have some homework to do though" she said, Anna grandmother smiled
"well I am sure you can do it Anna, you were always the smart one out of the family" she said, Anna smiled
"nan, my brothers are doing well, I am proud of them more" said Anna, Anna's grandmother smiled as she walked into the kitchen, Anna pulled open the piece of paper Gerard had handed her, she smiled when she saw Gerard had drawn her and also his number, she pulled out her mobile phone and dialed the number
"hi" came a voice, Anna smiled
"Gee" she replied, Gerard smiled as he put his bag in his room
"ohh hey Anna" he replied,
"I just wanted to say thank you for the drawing you made me, I love it" said Anna, Gerard blushed
"no problems at all, I was wondering what your doing tomorrow night, a group of us are going to a friends house for a mini party, I was wondering of you would like to go" said Gerard, Anna smiled
"of course, umm how do I get to your house?" asked Anna, Gerard smiled
"how about I pick you up and take you from there" said Gerard
"okay then Gee" said Anna, Gerard looked at his workbook
"Anna" he said
"yeah Gee" she replied
"what's your type of guy" he asked, Anna laughed
"someone who is my best friend, I can burp and be myself in front of" she said. Gerard smiled and noticed she didn't say anything about body image
"well I better go my mum wants me to help her with dinner, Night Anna" said Gerard, Anna smiled
"night Gee" she said and hung up.
