Patrick held on to Marcy's hand as he walked through the parking lot with the guys following behind him. Well, Pete hadn't been there, he had told Patrick he would meet them later on at the show after he took care of a few things that he needed to do. He wouldn't blow off the show, and all the guys knew that, but it was still a little nerve wracking with him not being there.

Patrick also chocked it up to being that he was still upset over the fact that Cadence never showed up. He really just wanted to let out a scream.

Standing in the back of the club, Patrick fiddled with the hat on his head. He could not believe that his first big show, it wasn't even a big show, but it was big to him. The first time they were going to be performing and she wouldn't be there. How could she do that?!

He sighed, now feeling guilty about what he was thinking. He knew the situations that Cadence dealt with on an everyday basis. He shouldn't have been thinking what he was about her.

The door opened and the whole group's attention was turned to Pete who was walking in, a girl at his side. Getting a better look, Patrick's eyes widened. It was Cadence.

"Cad..." He smiled as he ran over to her and basically wrapped his arms around her in such a tight hug that he was practically squeezing all of the air out of her.

"Patrick..." She kept her arms at her sides as he held onto her, her hand letting go of Pete's as he walked deeper into the room.

"Are you okay?" He asked as he began to inspect her body as if he were searching for bruises or cuts. His voice was hushed and his eyes were silently pleading with her.

"I'm fine." She nodded as she pulled back a little bit and walked around him as she made her way over to Pete to talk to him.

"Cadence, you didn't show up this afternoon, was everything okay?" Patrick turned to look at her. If she was okay then he purposely set her up.

"I know, you didn't get my message?" She turned to look at him as she ran a hand through her hair as she shrugged one shoulder. She glanced casually over at Marcy. She wasn't in the least bit impressed by this girl. Not after the smile she had put on Pete's face in the hours, yes hours, before.

"No, on my cell phone?" He questioned as he walked over to her. She was up Pete's ass for some reason and he didn't even know why. He couldn't get her to pay any attention to him for more than two minutes.

"Yeah, on your cell phone." She nodded as she sat down on the couch next to Joe and smiled at him. "It just rang and rang and rang and I got no answer so I left a message." She told him. She knew she hadn't left a message, but there was no way she was going to come right out and tell him that she blew him off to have sex with Pete and didn't even call to say she'd not be there after all.

"Oh, well, why couldn't you make it?" He questioned as he sat down next to her. He knew the looks he was getting from Marcy, but Cadence was his best friend and she needed to understand that.

"Pete called, he needed my help." She nodded as she looked up at Pete who was barely following the conversation.

"Yeah, dude. I'm sorry. I had this really important hard issue I was dealing with. I knew Cadence would know the job to get it fixed." He ran a hand through his hair.

Patrick nodded as he watched the looks that Pete and Cadence were exchanging and he didn't like it. There was something going on that was more than they were letting on. "So, did you get everything worked out?"

"Oh yeah." Pete nodded. "Cadence is a genius." He smiled as he fixed his shirt and then belt. They also had a little fun in the car on the way to the club.

"Okay, yeah." Patrick nodded as he looked over at Cadence as he shook his head.

"What?!" Cadence caught his look if disappointment and well the head shake. She had no idea what he was shaking his head at. Like he had any clue as to what was even going on in her life anymore.

"Give me a break, Cadence, you know what." He stressed the what as he got up off the couch and walked over to the other side of the room. He knew exactly what was going on and he was so angry that he could just scream. He just wanted to grab her by the arms and shake her. He wanted to know what the hell was wrong with her and why she kept doing this.

"No, Patrick, I don't think I know what." She stood up as she walked over to him. She was feeling confrontational and well, she hated the fact that Patrick thought he could still comment on her life after he moved her from best friend, to friend while she was away and went from loving her to not calling her for about three weeks and then decide that he wanted to make nice. She was not going to give in to him. She was not going to just throw her arms around him and forgive him for everything.

"Cadence, I wasn't born yesterday, I'm not stupid." He stressed as they moved away from the group. "You just spreading your legs for anyone huh?" He spat at her.

"You should know about that, isn't that the type of girls you love?" She seethed at him as she shook her head. "You have a lot of fucking nerve, Patrick. A LOT of fucking nerve." She pulled away from as she walked back over to Pete. She wasn't going to deal with Patrick.

Patrick shook his head, looking at her as he grabbed Marcy's hand and pulled her off the couch as he kissed her gently. He wasn't going to deal with Cadence and her attitude. She had issues and she needed to work them out and not take them out on him. All he wanted to do was be happy, she would have to deal with it.
