Cadence watched the whole show, her eyes never leaving Pete as she tried to keep the sounds of Patrick's voice out of her mind. It never ceased to amaze her and she didn't want to feel that right now. She just wanted to pretend he never existed.

After the show, the guys had come backstage where Candence, Jaelyn and Marcy were standing. Cadence was alone by herself. She didn't have a problem with Jaelyn, but Jaelyn was friends with Marcy and well we know why Marcy and Cadence did not get along.

"How did I do?" Pete smiled as he walked up to Cadence and smiled at her.

Cadence smiled back as she wrapped her arms around him and pulled him into this huge hug. "You're amazing and you know it." She laughed as she leaned up and kissed him. "So, where do you wanna go now? Back to your house?" She smirked as she ran her fingers up and down his chest.

"Sounds like a plan." He smirked as he reached behind her smacking her butt gently. "Let me just help them back up the van and then we'll go." He told her as he made his way over to where the guys were taking things off the stage.

Cadence nodded as she stood back and observed everything that was going on. She was keeping her head, and thoughts away from Patrick. She was just going to focus on Pete and making him love her. Making him feel the same way about her that she felt about him.

After the loading was finished, Pete grabbed Cadence and the two made their way back to his house to continue what was going on before they had to leave for the show. There was just no stopping these two when it came to making one another happy, at least in the bedroom.

Waking up the next morning, Cadence stretched. She had been lucky enough to have missed her Uncle completely the night before and even today. She would be able to get out of the house with no retaliation for not being home the night before. The funny thing was that when she was home he would be hard on her, but if she didn't come home or was gone for a few days, there was no retaliation and there was no hell to pay. It was as if he didn't even know she was gone.

Getting up and getting dressed, she had heard Pete say that there was going to be a practice today and she wanted to go see the boys practice. She wanted to be there to support Pete. She really wanted to show him that she was trying. She just wanted to share everything in her life with him.

She also knew where the practice was and it wasn't that long of a walk from her house. It would have been awkward if it were at Patrick's house, but seeing as how they had made gotten a rental space to practice early on, it was fair game.

Getting into the building she found the door that was marked with their name as she pulled it back and walked inside. No one had been playing yet as they all stood around and talked. She spotted Pete by a wall tuning up his bass. He looked so cute as he was so intently working on his bass.

Looking up, Pete locked his eyes on Cadence as she was standing by the door. Shaking his head, he put his bass down to the side and stood up as he made his way towards her. Moving closer to her, he stopped and lowered his voice. "What are you doing here?" He asked as he blocked her from wrapping her arms around him.

"I came to see you practice, what's wrong, baby?" She asked as she once again went to wrap her arms around his neck and he pushed her arms away.

"I don't want you here, you have to leave." He shook his head as he opened the door and pulled her out of the rehearsal space.

"What do you mean you don't want me here?" She crossed her arms over her chest as she waited for him to explain to her what the hell he meant.

"This is a closed rehearsal." He told her as he ran a hand through his hair.

"Closed? But, Jaelyn and Marcy are in there." She pointed towards the door as she re-crossed her arms. Where was he going with this?

"Those are Patrick and Joe's girlfriends. They have a right to be in there. You need to go home." He said as he shook his head. "Stay away from here." He told her as he walked back inside of the space, shutting the door behind him.

Cadence let out a sigh as she watched Pete disappear. The feeling of her heart sinking to the bottom of her stomach was enough to make her want to die. She just wanted to disappear off the face of the planet. She had just given him so much of her and he was still rejecting her. He didn't want to see her, he didn't want her around and he just made it ever so obvious that they were not boyfriend and girlfriend and were not going to be that way. She was never going to win over his heart. She was losing him the exact way she lost Patrick. She just didn't know yet who the other girl was.

Staring at the door for a few moments she wanted so badly for him to come back out and kiss her and apologize, but after staring at the door knob she knew that wasn't going to happen. He wasn't going to come back out and now she had to go home and deal with her Uncle.

The overwhelming feelings of just wanting to crawl into a ball and die consumed her mind and body as she slowly walked home. She was dreading by the minute dealing with anyone. But, she had no where else to go. She would have to deal with her Uncle. There was no avoiding it this time around.
