Pete leaned back against the bed, as he played with the phone in his hands. He knew he hadn't exactly left Cadence on a good note, but now he kind of missed her and he wanted her back. He wanted to see her, and well to have his way with her.
Dialing the number, he put a hand over his eyes as he waited for an answer. He was usually a good judge of people and he felt that Cadence was weak, that he had her in the palm of his hand. But, some other part of him told him that she would be angry with the way he acted and not give it up to him.
"What do you want?" Cadence's voice came over the phone as she had picked up. She knew who it was, but she didn't know why he was calling.
"Baby, come on, don't be like that." Pete's smooth voice flowed over the telephone. "You don't have to be mean to me." He soothed. He was going to get her back in his life one way or another.
"Pete, don't call me baby. You were so mean to me today!" She shook her head. "You were very disrespectful and you kicked me out of band practice! It's pretty obvious that I mean nothing to you." She told him. It was how she felt at that exact moment. The way she felt when he kicked her out and said she wasn't one of the girlfriends. He had to have meant what he said, otherwise he wouldn't have said. She knew people said things when they were angry, but there was no reason for him to be angry at her. They hadn't been in a fight or anything like that.
"Cadence baby, I know, I'm sorry. I just...I love spending time with you and I wasn't having a good day, I didn't want you to see me like that, so I just pushed you away. And, I don't want anyone else interrupting our time together. I love spending special time with you. Can you please come over so I can make it up to you? My parents are away for the weekend, you can stay with me." He knew he might regret what he was saying, but he needed her.
Cadence let out a sigh as she played with the hem of her shirt. "You want to spend the whole weeked with me?" She asked as she waited for his answer. If he wanted to spend the whole weekend with her than she wasn't really wanting to turn him down. She wanted to make him feel better about whatever it was that was hurting or bothering him.
"Yes, so pack a bag and come over as soon as possible. But, I wouldn't expect to be needing much in the way of clothes." He smirked as he ran a hand through his hair.
"Fine, Pete. I'll come." She was still upset with him just because she wanted him to love her, but he was willing to try so she was too.
Packing a bag and heading over to Pete's house, Cadence was a little bit nervous. She had never spent the whole weekend with Pete and it was kind of unnerving. She had never even spent the night.
Pete ran down the stairs as he saw her walking up the street. As he got to the door he pulled it open and smiled at her. "Hi baby." He almost cooed as he pulled her closer to him and smiled as he kissed her.
Cadence laughed as she leaned up and kissed him gently. "Hi Petey." She wanted to say something else. She wanted to yell at him but as she stood there staring into his eyes, she couldn't. She couldn't say anything mean or yell at him for how he treated her. She just wanted to make everything better.
The two had made their way upstairs so that Cadence could get settled and then Pete suggested that they watch a movie. In his own head he knew he was just laying it on thick. He wanted everything to go smoothly so that he would get himself laid all weekend. He knew exactly how to play with Cadence's mind and heart.
"Move your foot." Cadence laughed as she pushed his foot away so she could see the TV.
"Sorry." Pete laughed as he wrapped his arm around her as he nuzzled his face into her neck trying to start working the spot that made her melt.
Cadence smiled as she held his face gently and allowed him to kiss her. She wasn't really so interested in the movie as she was in. She was really starting to fall for this kid.
Things heated up and as he made way and got rid of Cadence's clothes he sat up a little bit as his fingers ran across a long scar across the inside of her thigh. His eyes trailed a little bit more as he started counting bruises. Making ten, he shook his head. "Cadence, what is this?" He moved up on his knees as he caught her eyes.
Cadence looked down as she shook her head. "Nothing." She told him as she pulled her legs up and tried to move away from him.
"Cadence, no, tell me." He got up off the bed and walked around the side to get closer to her.
"No, stay away from me." She could feel the knots begin to start in her stomach. She was hoping he would never notice. "Just stay away from me." She grabbed her pants as she slipped them up trying to quickly button them up.
"Cadence! What are you not telling me? Is there someone hurting you?" He protested as he watched her.
"I don't want to talk about it!" She screamed at him as she tried to get towards the door. She just wanted to ge tout of her. He wasn't supposed to find out.
"Cadence, no. You tell me." He grabbed her arm as he tried to keep her from getting out the door. He had no idea what was going on. "Who hurts you? Please tell me." His heart was breaking for her. She wasn't like any other girl he knew. He thought she was the same, but this somehow...she was different. "Please, I don't want anyone to hrut you." It was the first time he was being sincere.
"You're not supposed to know." She wiped her eyes as the tears began to flow down her cheeks.
"Shh, okay." He led her over to the bed as he wiped her cheeks. She didn't even have to say it and he knew what was going on. He knew someone was hurting her and well, he didn't like it. He didn't like even more than he was just adding to her problems. Something had to change, something had to make everything better. And, he had to be the one to do it.
