I wake up to someone jumping on my bed. I open my eyes to look who woke me up from my wonderful sleep and I grin at whom I see. It's Joel. "Joel what are you doing?" "Jumping on your bed" "Yea but why?" "To wake you up" "Why?" "Because you have to get ready because we're going to the skate park in an hour" "Well unlike most girls I don't need forever to get ready" "Exactly that's why I woke you up just an hour before we had to leave because won't it take you an hour to get ready?" "Yea..." "Alright then get up" I smile and say, "Ok I'll get up" "K Billy's mom is downstairs making pancakes. Her pancakes are delicious" "Well go have some so I can get ready" "Okie dokie hokie pokie" Joel jumps off my bed and walks out of my room. I get out of bed and go to my dresser. I dig through my draws until I find the outfit I want. I pick a black tank top, black white and gray camo pants, and my VANS shoes. Hey if I was going to go to a skate park I was going to have to look the part. I walk out of my room and into the bathroom. I brush out my hair and decide that I'm just going to leave it down today. I apply some heavy black eyeliner, some mascara and some grayish eye shadow. I walk downstairs and go into the kitchen. Billy notices me enter and says; "Wow you sure do look the part of someone going to a skate park" "I do huh? I always went to the skate park with my friends when I lived in Utah" "Oh cool" "Yep" I look over at Joel who is just staring at me. "What?" Joel snaps out of his trans and says, "Oh uhh nothing" "Ok?" I walk around the table to the far end of it. To the side I was sitting at before for dinner. "Amy would you like some pancakes?" "Uhh yes please" "Ohh so mannerish" "Oh shut up Billy" I lightly punch him and Joel says, "Man you guys are already acting like brother and sister" "Yeps!" "How many do you want Amy?" "One is good. Thanks" "Ok" _______ puts the pancake in front of me and asks, "What do you want on it?" "Uhh just some syrup" "Ok" She puts the syrup by me and I start making my pancake "Just syrup?" "Mmmhmm" "No butter?" "Ugh I hate butter. It's nasty" "Ok?" "Do you have a problem with me not liking butter Joel?" "No, no none at all" "Whatever" Lily comes walking into the kitchen a little bit later and she looks really frustrated. "Mommy I can't decide what to wear" "Well I'm kinda busy. Why don't you ask Amy to help you?" I take my last bite of my pancake as Lily asks me, "Will you come help me pick out an outfit?" "Of course I will" I put my plate and fork in the sink and walk with Lily to her room which is the first door on the right, right next to mine! She opens the door and I follow her in. "So what type of outfit do you want?" "Something cute but sporty because I'm going rollerbladeing with Crystal." "Oh how fun! Crystal is Paul's little sister huh?" "Yep" "Cool I'm going to go meet Paul today" "Oh he is soo cool. You'll really like him. I like Benji though. I think Benji is cute." I laugh at her because Benji is 11 years older then her (Me: Benji is 11 years older than me too. It's sooooooo sad sniff So that means when I was 6 he was 17. That really really sucks) "Ok so you want something sporty huh?" She nods "Well let's look in your closet to see what you have." "Ok" Both of us walk to her closet and I stand there for a second trying to figure out what to have her wear. I scan her tops until I find the perfect top, which is a tank top with flowers all over it. I grab it and say, "What about this shirt?" "Yea that's great!" "Ok and now for pants" I give her, her shirt and look at all her pants. I see ones that would go perfectly with her shirt. "I got the pants" I pull the pants out of her closet and hand them to her. "How's that outfit?" "It's perfect! Thanks Amy" She gives me a hug and I hug her back "Anytime sweetheart" We let go of each other and I say, "Maybe sometime we can go shopping for some clothes" "Yea!!" "Amy come on we're going to go meet the guys now" "Ok. I'll see ya later Lily" "Ok bye Amy. Thanks again." "No problem" I follow Billy out of his little sister's room and say, "Awww man you're leader again" "Yes I am! Ha!" We walk to the front door to where Joel is standing. All three of us grab our boards and Joel says, "Ready to go?" "Yep but wait you have different clothes on now. Did you go home last night?" "No. I had some clothes over here from last time I spent the night" "Oh ok that makes sense" "Yea" We walk to the skate park, which is not that far away so we were there in like 5 minutes. When we get there 2 guys come walking up to us. One of them is kinda heavy but he looks soo cute. I just wanna go up to him and squeeze him like I would if I was squeezing a teddy bear. Then the other one must be Benji because he looks A LOT like Joel. So it has to be him. "Paul, Benji this is my new sister Amy. Amy this is Paul and this is Benji" Billy points to each guy as he introduces them and I was right with who I thought was who. Benji gives me the elevator eyes and I ask him, "See something you like Benjamin?" Benji looks me in the face then smirks, "You're damn right I do" I go up to him and put my hand on his shoulder. "Dream on buddy" I get on my board and ride into the fenced area that is the skate park. All the guys are just standing around laughing at Benji's face. He is probably stunned by what I just did. "Come on did we come here to just sit around like lawn gnomes or did we come here to skate?" All the guys get on their boards then come skate with me. We skate for about an hour then I get tired. I sit down on one of the little benches they have. If you were skating for an hour you would get tired too. As I'm sitting there some Jocks walk past me and one of them yells, "Hey freaks time to get the hell out. It's our park now" I walk up to the Jock that said that and I say, "Why don't you leave them alone?" He also gives me the elevator eyes and I groan. "What is with people and giving me the fucking elevator eyes?!?" "Well baby you are just too damn sexy! Why don't you come hang with me and my friends instead of these freaks?" He gestures to Billy and the other guys when he says that. "Uhh how about not" "Oh come on. I can a sure you that we can have a lot of fun" He grabs my arm and licks his lips as he stares at my boobs. I make a disgusted face and pull my arm back "There is no way in hell I would ever go with you" "Awww come on baby" He grabs my arm again and tries to pull me back. I yank my arm away from his grip and punch him square in the nose. He screams and grabs his nose. I walk to Billy, Benji, Joel and Paul and say, "Let's go" All the guys follow me in awe. Finally after about 5 minutes Benji says, "Amy that was fucking incredible!" "Yea no one has ever stood up to the Jocks like that," Joel adds. "Well I don't take any shit from anyone. And I hate it when people make fun of my friends. It really pisses me off" "It was truly amazing" "Thanks Paul but now it's over and done with so lets go somewhere else. I'm bored" "There is a really cool coffee shop just a ways up the street. Want to go there?" "Sure that sounds like fun. Lead the way Joel" "Ok" He walks off and the rest of us follow him. We get to the coffee shop 15 minutes later. All of us walk in and order our stuff. I just decided to get a bottle of water because I think coffee is nasty. I walk up to Paul and say, "You know what Paul?" "No, what?" "Ever since I saw you I've wanted to just give you a big huge hug!" "Uhmm why?" "Because you look like a teddy bear! Just so soft and cuddly. So I've just wanted to give you a hug" "Oh ok" "Yea just so you know" "Oh ok" All five of us make our way back to the back and there is a table there but it would only fit four people so Joel and I decided to sit at another table. I would have put the two together but it was bolted to the ground. I know this because I actually tried to move it. "So Amy... Do you think this move was a good thing?" "Yea kinda. I mean now I don't have to battle my friends for guys" "Did that happen a lot?" "Ooo more then you would believe. And the worst part about it is I lost most, no wait, all of the time. So it really really sucks" "Wow I bet." "But now if I do have to battle my friends for guys I would be really worried because none of you are gay are you?" "No no no no no no no and no. All of us are as straight as..." "A rainbow?" "Yes! Wait! NO! Rainbows aren't straight they're curved" "I know but I was just seeing if I could trick ya and apparently it worked" "You are an evil evil person" "Awww I take that as a compliment" "Well it wasn't meant as one" "I know but I know that I'm an evil person so for me it is a compliment" "Ok" I finish my water and throw my bottle at Joel. "That was really mean" "Well you did say I was an evil evil person" I smirk at him "Yea but you didn't have to act on your evilness." "Oh of course I did. Other wise people wouldn't know I was an evil evil person." He just laughs. Then a waitress person comes over and asks, "Are you going to pick that water bottle up?" "Uhh no" "Well then I'm going to have to ask you to leave" "And I'm going to have to ask you to kiss my ass." She looks at me shocked then runs back to the counter. "Amy you are going to be in soo much trouble" "So it wouldn't be the first time" The girl comes back with someone who I guess is the manager "Miss did you throw that water bottle?" "Yes" "Did you refuse to pick it up?" "Yes" "Did you tell our waitress to..." "Kiss my ass? Yes" "Miss I'm going to have to ask you to leave" "Why do you say that?" "What do you mean?" "Why do you say, 'I'm going to have to ask you to leave'? Why don't you just say, 'Get the hell out of my shop'?" "Because I'm trying to act civilized." "Uhh I see. Well I don't think it's very civilized to kick someone out of your shop" "And I don't think it's very civilized to do the things you have done" "Amy lets just go" "Whatever you say Joely Moley... Well it was fun to get in an argument with you but I guess I better get going... CYA" I stand up and walk out of the shop. Joel shortly comes out the door with the rest of the guys behind him. "Amy you know they are never going to let you back in there" Paul states. "That's ok I don't like coffee anyway" "Then why did you say that you wanted to go here?" Billy questions. "Because I've always seen coffee houses as cool places to hang out." "Oh ok" "Yea but now I'm bored" I stand on my skateboard and kinda just rock back and fourth. I start to slip but grab onto Joel's shoulders for support. "Don't hurt yourself," Joel warns. "I won't" Just after I say that I lose my balance and my board slips out from underneath me. As I fall flat on my ass I take Joel down with me. I end up lying on my back with a very very sore ass and Joel lands on top of me. His stomach is on mine so we kinda make an X. I lay there laughing my ass off. My very sore ass. After I subsided my laughing a little I look up and see all the guys laughing so hard that they are crying... Very funny actually. Joel sits up next to me and says, "I thought you weren't going to hurt yourself?" "I didn't hurt myself... I hurt myself AND you" "Awww you got me there" All the guys are done with their laughing fits so I ask Billy, "Billy did you see which way my board went?" "Yea I did. Hold on I'll go get it" "Ok thanks brother of mine!" He smiles at me then goes to go retrieve my board. "So Amy do you have a sore ass now?" "OO uhh... Yea!! Very very sore ass I might add" The guys go into fits of laughter again and I look at Joel. I give him one of those what-the-hell-is-so-funny looks and he just shrugs. Billy comes back with my board and looks at me "What's so funny?" "Don't ask me I have no idea" Billy gives me my board and asks Benji, "Benj what's so funny?" "Amy was" "How the hell was I funny?" "Just your last comment and the whole incident with you falling... It was very funny." "Oh ok I guess that works. I'm glad I could be your guys' entertainment" Joel stands up and offers his hand to me. I grab it and pull myself up. I let go of Joel's hand and rub my ass. "God that really hurt!" "I told you to be careful" I glare at Joel and say, "Shut up" "Why don't you make me?" "Are you sure you want to start something Joel?" "Looks like I already have" He grins at me. Holy fuck he has a cute grin!! No Amy get that thought out of your mind. You can't start liking him.... yet. "Oh you are so on Joel." I run after him and he runs away. I jump up on his back and say, "Ok now you have to carry me to wherever we're going next." "Ok" Joel turns back around to the other guys and says, "So guys what are doing next?" "Uhh well we do need band practice so lets go do that if there isn't anything else to do." "Ok that works" "OOO I get to watch right????" "Of course. We haven't performed in front of an audience for a long time. I think it's about time we had one" "Sweet" I put my chin on Joel's shoulder and say, "You're the lead singer huh?" "Yea I am how did you know?" "Last night before you showed up Billy was telling me about your guys' band" "Oh makes sense" "But wait don't you guys need a drummer?" "We'll call him when we get back to our place" "Okiely Dokiely" "Amy you are one weird chick" "Why thank you Paul!" "Uhh yea sure anytime" "Don't try to insult her Paul she'll just take it as a compliment" "Yes I will. He tried calling me an evil evil person and I just took that as a compliment" "She did." "Dang so every insult you take as a compliment?" "Only if I really am what you say I am. Like a dork that I am so that would be a compliment." "Alrighty then" "Yea" I lay my head on Joel's shoulder and close my eyes. "Amy you're not going to sleep, are you?" I hear one of the guys ask. I don't know which one it was but of course I wouldn't because I'm closing my eyes and I haven't deciphered everyone's voices yet. "No. I'm just closing my eyes." "Oh ok" "Yea... Joel you smell really good" "I do?" "Yea you do" "Ummm ok?" "Did you put cologne on today?" "No" "Hmm... Then it must just be you" "Must be" All of us walked to Benji and Joel's house... Well actually I rode but whatever. When we got there Joel set me down on the sidewalk and walks in the front door. Everyone follows him in there. Everyone makes themselves at home and I just kinda stand in the doorway feeling awkward. "You know Amy, you can sit down" After Paul says that both Benji and Joel walk into the room. Benji from the kitchen and Joel from down the hall. Joel has someone following him. "Mom this is Amy, Amy this is my mom Robin." "Hello" "Oh hello dear" We shakes hands and Benji says, "K I called Aaron and he said that he would be here in about 5 minutes so let's go out to the garage and set up" "K" "Are you going to go watch them Amy?" "Yea I am" "Oh fun." "Yep" All of us go outside and Benji goes over to the garage door. He pulls up at the bottom and it opens. All of us walk in and I sit on a couch they have. "If I sit here I won't be able to see everyone." "So move the couch" "I'm gonna" I stand back up and start moving the couch. Joel comes over and tries to help me but I smack his hand. "Hey I was just trying to help." "I know but I'm a big girl I can handle it" "Fine" He walks back to his microphone and I move the couch to the front of everyone. I sit on the couch and some guy comes in. "Aaron this is Amy, Amy this is Aaron our drummer" Joel motions to me as he introduces me. Aaron extends his hand and I shake it. "So how did you come into this picture?" "I'm Billy's new sister. I moved here from Utah." "Awww I see. Why'd ya move?" "Because my parents died in a car crash" "Oh my god that's terrible. Why didn't you tell us?" "Well Benji, neither you nor Paul asked" "Well neither did Billy or I" "Yes you did. You asked Billy's mom" "Oh you heard?" "Mmmhmm" "Oh ok" "Yea so don't even try and lie to me" "I wasn't trying to I was just making seem like I-" "Joel shut up. I was kidding" "Oh... he he ok" "Are we going to play or are we just going to sit here like, as Amy put it, lawn gnomes?" "Let's play" "Ok this first one is called 'Little Things'" "Ok" They play that then 3 more, I heard you, Seasons, Motivation Proclamation. "Ok I think this is last song we're going to play" "Awww ok" "This song is called Change" "Ok" "On...on and on and on and on and on. On and on and on and on and on. On and on and on and on and on. I am lost in the see-thru. I think you lost yourself too. Throughout all of this confusion. I hope I somehow get to you. I practiced all the things I'd say. To tell you how I feel. And when I finally get my chance. It all seems so surreal. Cause from the first time I saw you. I only thought about you I didn't know you. I wanted to hold on to. The things you'd never say to me. Joel smiles at me and I smile back. "Sooo..... What does everyone want to do now??" Paul asks. "Well I told my girlfriend I would take her to the movies so I gotta be going" "Ok later Aaron" "See ya guys. It was really nice to meet ya Amy" "Yep you too" Aaron walks out of the garage, grabs his board and skates down the sidewalk. The rest of us walk inside and everyone decides that watching a movie sounds really good so all of us decide what to watch. Finally everyone agrees on Independence Day. Everyone makes themselves comfortable and I just kinda stand off to the side a little awkward. "Amy you know you can come sit down" Benji says in somewhat of an arrogant voice "Yea come sit down right by me!" Joel pats the space next to him on the couch. I smile then walk over there. I sit next to him and watch the movie for a bit. I start to get really really tired so I lay my head down on Joel's shoulder. Joel moves his arm to around my waist and I cuddle up to him more. Shortly after that I fall asleep.
~Joel's P.O.V.~
(Me: Sorry I like changing P.O.V.'s. Its fun) We just got done practicing and our last song was "Change" After I was done singing my eyes locked with Amy's and both of us just kinda smiled. I think I'm really starting to like her... Like a lot. Aaron left because he was taking his girlfriend to a movie and the thought of watching a movie was very appealing to all of us so we decided to watch Independence Day. After about half an hour of debating. All of us guys sit in my living room and make ourselves comfortable. Amy just stands off to the side feeling awkward it looked like. Benji told her that she could sit down in a very arrogant tone so to make her feel more at ease I said that she could come sit by me and I patted the space next to me on the couch. She smiled then walked over to where I was. She sat down next to me and all of us started watching the movie. About 30 minutes into the movie Amy laid her head against my shoulder. That really weirded me out but I just played it cool and I put my arm around her waist. She seemed to like that because she cuddled up against me more and now I think she's asleep. "Hey Joel?" "Hey what?" I look over at Billy who is sitting right next to me. "Is Amy sleeping?" "Yea she is why?" "I was just wondering... Do you think we could put her in your room so she is more comfortable there?" "Yea sure she can sleep on my bed" "Ok well then I want to be as far away from our bedroom as I can be" I look at my twin brother who is sitting on the floor. I can tell right away that he doesn't like Amy. Oh lovely my brother hates the girl of my dreams. "Why would you do that Benj?" Sometimes I really think Paul has no brain. Both Billy and I can tell why he said that but apparently Paul didn't. "Because Benji doesn't like Amy, Paul" Billy answers for Benji "Ohh you don't? Why not?" "Because she seems like a bitch to me" "Guys can we not do this when she's in here please. She might wake up" "Well then go take her upstairs..." "Fine I will" I pick up Amy and carry her to my room. I lay her down on my bed and try to be as careful as I can to not wake her up but that doesn't work. She woke up. "Hey sorry I didn't mean to wake you. I was just carrying you into my room so you could sleep better" "Oh well thank you but I have to go home. I really don't think Mrs. Martin would like me staying here over night" The door opens and Billy walks in "Hey I just called my mom and she said that both me and Amy could spend that night" "Sweet" "Ok never mind" I laugh a little at Amy's comment "Never mind what?" "I said that I probably wouldn't be able to spend the night right before you walked in" "Oh ok" "Yea... So who is going to be sleeping in here with me?" "Well Benji is going to be sleeping in his mom's room because she is at work and won't get home until morning and Paul and I are sleeping in the front room so that only leaves Joel. So are you gonna Joel?" Billy and Amy both look at me. "Yea I'll sleep in here if it's ok with you Amy" "Yea it'd be great" "Ok night guys" "Night Billy" Billy walks out and I strip down to my boxers and get in bed with Amy. She cuddles up next to me and I wrap her in my arms. "Night Joel" "Night Amy"
