  Holy Hell Katy - Ok this page took 5thousand years to load, but now that it has I can relax. sigh.
  this story is so good, I can't even begin to explain how happy it makes me.
  For instance, I'm sitting in the airport right now and was just thinking 'damn I'm bored' so I turned on my computer right and the little mail thing popped up and then I was like 'sigh, this is going to be junk mail and not anything at all remotly interesting' but then I opened up my inbox and it was ficwad informing me that you updated and against all odds I actually got to read the chapter and now I get to review. All of this is just me letting you know that you made my day. Thank you.

  I loved these not only for their linguistic appeal, but also for the fact that they characterize Stumpy:
  
  /I still wasn't sure if she treated all men like she did me, I hoped it was a unique transactional encounter we had, I hoped she didn't hold other men's head's close to her chest like she did mine, hoped she didn't repeatedly kiss worries and anxieties away, hoped her feet didn't entangled in other men's legs like they did for me and most of all, I hoped she didn't whisper to them like she would to me.
  
  I firmly pushed her down on to the bed and clambered over with the grace of an ox, my bed etiquette still needed major work but I was no dancer./
  
  Also, it was cute, you put "beautiful" in the chapter 5 times or something. And you're beautiful, too. :)

  Terribly sorry, the only way I can review from my phone is if I ignore the "space" button. Otherwise I send you awkward characters and it's lame lame lame. (Also, I have a tendency to forget to review, but when I do it via phone I am constantly wanting to go back and expound upon it, so I remember better)
  
  But!
  
  I agree with FrostedGlass, that whole segment really got me. I love that he worries that she's like that with everyone, although I get the idea that she's not, that he brings out something special in her.
  
  And awwwww! to Patrick falling in love. So sweet.
  
  So to recap: love it, more please.

  Brilliant.
  I was so wary of Charlie before, but now I see she's just an ordinary, but maybe damaged, kind of girl.
  I love how you're slowly revealing her and her relationship with Patrick, piece by piece.
  It's so cleverly written. And the inevitable tragedy of it all makes it that much more wrenching when they seem so right together.
  Sigh.
