Chapter 7: If We Were a Movie
Theresa's nerves were acting up again, and that only happened when her powers were trying to tell her something. Her weight had gone down from 127, to 123, and now to 117. But she still felt overweight. Theresa would spend massive amounts of time to look at herself in her mirror and point out her flaws. Her grades were dropping, her happiness was ending and her health was becoming an issue. But what she most worried about was her relationship with Jay. When she saw Atlanta hide into her room and Archie come out and go to his, she shut the door and examined her stomach. She did karate until she was 12 and then volunteered as a teacher for youngsters starting karate as a summer and weekend job. She quickly lowered her shirt and lay on her bed, gazing over at the framed picture of her and Jay on her bedside table. But then the thought of Brook emerged into her minds eye. That picture of her and him, perfectly oblivious to everyone around them. Her PMR rang, signaling a new text message.
Hey Theresa, I can't make it 4 dinner 2nite, Brook and I r going out 4 dinner. Tell the others. Thanx, Jay
Theresa glared at the tiny screen and chucked it at the door, unfortunately, it didn't break.
'Archie was right,' She muttered, crossing her arms. 'I should be an actress.'
'Uh Oh,' she sang angrily.
'There you go again
Talkin' cinematic
Yeah, you,' she picked up the picture and stood up, facing the mirror as she started to sing.
'You're charming
Got everybody star struck
I know...
How you always seem to go
For the obvious
Instead of me
But get a ticket and you'll see

'If we were a movie
You'd be the right guy
And I'd be the best friend
That you'd fall in love with
In the end
We'd be laughin'
Watchin' the sunset
Fade to black
Show the names
Play that happy song,' Theresa lay the picture down on her bed

'Yeah-ah,

'Yeah, yeah
When you call me,' she looked down at the tiny machine lying at the bottom of her door and picked up the PMR.
'I can hear it in your voice
Oh, sure,' she rolled her eyes as she sang
'Wanna see me
And tell me all about her
La, la
I'll be actin' through my tears
Guess you'll never know
That I should win
An Oscar for this scene I'm in,' she picked up her hairbrush, pretending she was winning an award.

'If we were a movie
You'd be the right guy
And I'd be the best friend
That you'd fall in love with
In the end
We'd be laughin'
Watchin' the sunset
Fade to black
Show the names
Play that happy song,' Theresa could even imagine what it would be like to be Jay's girlfriend, but Brook kept interfering with her fairytale and she lay down the brush.

'Wish I could tell you there's a twist
Some kind of hero in disguise
When we're together
It's for real
No playin','

'Wish I could tell you there's a kiss
Like somethin' more than in my mind
I see it
Could be amazing,' she held her sides in a warm hug and fell to her bed.

'If we were a movie
You'd be the right guy
And I'd be the best friend
That you'd fall in love with
In the end
We'd be laughin'
Watchin' the sunset
Fade to black
Show the names
Play that happy song,' Theresa started to feel her consciousness whisk away.
'If we were a movie

And I'd be the best friend
That you'd fall in love with
In the end
We'd be laughin'
Watchin' the sunset
Fade to black
Show the names
Play that happy song,' Theresa ended as her eyes slowly closed and she fell asleep.
Odie heard Theresa fall to her bed, slightly opening the door to see her falling asleep at 4 pm. That's early, even for Neil! And that's saying something.
'Nothing is going right here.' He whispered to himself as he returned to his room with his dinner on a plate.
