I turned over the next morning and saw Gerard already awake,
staring at me. I grinned.
"What?" I asked in a playful tone.
He wrinkled up his nose, and smirked. "You're pretty."
"Aw, you're-erm...well, you've got a good personality," I said,
throwing the covers off of me, and getting out of bed. "And I
guess you're handsome. Sometimes. Sort of," I added, mocking
his infamous smirk.
"Oh, I'm a stud, and you know it," he said as I dug through my
closet like thing for an outfit for today. I pulled out a hot pink
and black striped shirt.
"Oooh, baby, I'm hot for you," I said sarcastically, rolling my
eyes. "Now turn around."
"But-"
"I said turn around! I've got to change!" I cried, as Gerard rolled
his eyes, but turned around nonetheless. I quickly took off my
shirt and pajama bottems, when I heard someone wolf whistel.
"Dammit, Gerard!" I put on my clothes, then turned around to see
him smirking at me.
"I don't know why you don't like letting people see you're body,
Rox. You're beautiful," he said, staring at my eyes. I crawled
back into bed with him, and he kissed my forehead.
I smiled, then kissed him, setting my hands on the side of his
face.
I smiled as he slid his arms around my waist, and I remembered
last night...

After Gerard found me in the park, we went back to the
reception, soaking wet and smiling like idiots, fingers laced and
cold. We didn't care, though, not one bit.
We had eachother.
People in shops and people on the streets with their umbrellas
stopped and stared at us, because we were slightly famous, kind
of, and holding hands and...all lovey dovey. Gerard's hair was
soaked and clinging to his skull, but I still thought he was the
most beautiful man in the world. He stared at me intensely as we
stood on the church's steps, about to go in, when he kissed me
again.
He was the only thing I cared about at all. Everything that had
been troubling me seemed to melt away as he deepened the kiss
and held me tighter.
I didn't remember that I was the Maid of Honor at a shot-gun
wedding, or what slutface said to me in the streets only hours
before, I wasn't homesick in the least, and I wasn't stressed at all.
My mother wasn't nagging me in my thoughts, and I loved it.
Gerard broke the kiss, which seemed to go on for hours, and
rubbed my cheek. "Ready to go in?"
"Sure," I replied, taking a deep breath and grabbing his hand.
"Ladies first," I added with a smirk, pushing him inside.
He laughed, then twirled around, grabbed me by the waist and
said, "Would a lady do this-" he kissed me roughly "-to you?"
I stroked my chin in mock thought. "Well...probably. C'mon, Gee,
with a body like this, any one would..." I kissed him again, and
added, "But don't worry, I've got my eyes on this one guy..."
"Oh? What's he like?"
"Well, he's this big biker man, with loads of tattoos and a mullet,
and his favorite band is Lynard Skynard. They call him Rex," I
said, smirking.
"Don't tease me like that," Gerard said, kissing my neck softly.
"Well, I've got my heart set on this one girl, too."
"Oh, do tell."
He smiled. "Well, she's an amazing singer, she's got incredible
eyes and a sexy body, but she's innocent, and sweet when she
wants to be, but most of the time she's sassy and witty. She hung
the moon and the stars. She's strong, but she's delicate.
She's sexy, but innocent. She's in total control, yet wild. She's
every cliche compliment I can't think of right now, and then
some," he said. "Yeah. That sounds about right."
"And she's thinking the man in front of her is perfect," I
whispered, staring at Gerard as though he had just saved my life.
I kissed him, running my fingers through his long, black hair.
I pulled away from the kiss and stared at him. "You're--"
"GERARD! ROXIE! JOIN THE PARTY!" Jenny screamed, opening the
door to the reception party, which Gerard and I were right
beside. She grabbed our hands and pulled us inside, where we
saw Frankie on a table, waving his jacket over his head,
obviously drunk. When he started to unbutton his shirt, however,
Mary pulled him off the table, laughing.
"Have some cake!" Mikey said cheerfully, zipping past us on a
roller chair, with a huge piece of cake in his bare hand.
Ray was in the corner talking to Katie about something mature
and boring, probably, and now Mary and Frank were being
all..."whoo.i love you so much," and "we're married! i'm mary
iero!"
Jenny was dancing with Bob on the dance floor, and Gerard and I
were still standing in the corner, dripping. "Let's dance!" I yelled
over the music, and he grabbed my hand and led me to teh
dance floor, and we danced for hours, 'til three a.m.
Everything was perfect.

"Roxanne want food!" I cried jumping on Ray and stealing his
bowl of Lucky Charms. "Aw, you ate all the marshmellows! All
that's left is the cardboard tasty gray things..."
"Make your own cereal, then!" he snapped, snatching the bowl
back and shoving some food in his mouth. I stuck my tongue out
at him.
"How long are Mary and Frank gonna be on their honey moon?"
Gerard asked, sitting in between Jenny and Katie on the couch.
"A week. They're only missing three shows, though. Bob's filling
in for Mary, and Roxie, you're filling in for Frank," Ray said
matter-of-factly.
"But-Katie's the guitar player!" I cried.
"But you hang out with Frank a lot, and you both screw around
on guitar all the time, so you know most of our songs already.
It's fine. You'll do fine," Bob said. "But we're gonna have to
practice a lot. Mary's a damn good drummer, and her parts
seem complicated."
I sighed. "They're not, really, I'll show you."
I was going to have to play guitar in another band. Yippee.
"Hey, Roxie," Gerard said sheepishly. "Maybe we could do a duet
or whatever? If you wanted..."
I smiled slowly. Yesssss.
