Pete’s POV-
I’ve missed him so much.
Holding him, it just feels like home. I feel more at home now then I did when I stepped through the doors of my own house.
He feels so sweaty, and he’s…shaking.
I pulled away.
“Are you okay?” I asked him. I’m kind of worried about him.
He nodded his head.
“I’m fine, man.” he said, running his fingers through his hair. His beautiful hair.
I looked at him. He looked…tense.
“You sure?” I asked, again.
“Yeah, yeah I’m fine. Come on in, man.” he said, stepping more into the house, me following him.
“Smells nice in here.” I said, sniffing the sweet smell of, well, William.
William sniffed the air. “I don’t smell anything.” he said, with a chuckle.
“Well, your used to the smell. You know how everyone’s house has their own certain smell?” I said.
“Yeah.” William said, sitting on the couch, and running his fingers through his hair again.
“Well, yours just smells nice.” I said, sitting next to him.
Suddenly, I heard a phone ring.
“One sec.” William said, picking the phone up.
“Hello?” he said, as I looked around the house a little, waiting.
“Oh hey!…yeah!…mhm?…okay, sure…yup…I miss you too man!….yeah?…cool!…hey, I gotta go….no, Pete’s here…haha, yeah…okay, bye buddy….love you too!” I listened.
He put the phone down.
“Gabe.” he said, with a smile.
I nodded.
“I love him.” I said.
“So do I.” he said.
I nodded. Sometimes Gabe made me jealous. Sometimes, I thought he was hotter then me, and that William would notice him before me.
I smiled at William.
“What?” he asked, kind of catching me starring.
“I like your hair.” he said.
William’s hands slowly traveled up to his locks, and he ran his finger’s through them.
“You do?” he asked me.
I nodded.
“I really do. It suits you.” I told him.
He nodded with a smile.
“I like it too. Thanks Pete.” William said.
I nodded.
Just then, my sidekick started ringing. I dug into my back pocket and pulled it out.
I glanced at the caller ID, and raised an eyebrow when I saw that the caller ID was from my house phone.
“Hello?” I asked.
I heard a heavy pant on the other end.
“Hello…?” I asked
William kind of starred at me.
I still heard panting, then a bark.
“Hem?” I asked, jumping up.
“Hem, what’s the matter boy?” I asked.
Dial tone.
I hung up my phone.
“Hmm, that’s weird.” I said.
“What was that all about?” William asked.
“Hem must have knocked the phone over, causing it to speed dial my cell.” I said, shrugging.
“Hahaha, silly puppy.” he chuckled.
“Yeah, really silly.” I said.

William‘s POV- (later that night.)
I sat on the couch and watched as Pete came out from my kitchen with a bowl of popcorn, and no shirt.
My mouth nearly watered from the sight. His tattoos, his mussels, his tan skin, it was all too much.
At that moment, my mouth was thinking faster then my mind.
“Pete,” I began.
He turned to me, his mouth full.
“Yeah?” he asked, standing there, in all his glory.
“I-I like you.” I said, really fast, before covering my mouth.
He just kind of stood there.
“What?” he asked.
I gulped, looked away, then looked at him.
“I like you.” I said, looking down right after.
Pete scratched his neck.
“I’m confused…” he said.
I stood up.
“I really, really like you, Pete. I think I love you, okay?” I said, shaking like a leaf.
He stood there.
His jaw dropped.
“I kind of can’t believe this…” he said.
I swallowed the bile that had risen into my dry throat.
“Me neither…” I said, regretting telling him.
“I…” Pete started, putting the popcorn bowl down.
“I have to go.” he said, turning on one foot, for the door.
“Wait, please!” I said, reaching out to him.
He turned around, seeing me just standing there, one hand stretched towards him.
He shook his head.
The door slammed.
He started his car, and sped off.
I just stood there for a minute, kind of taking in what I had just done.
I started to rub my wrists, then rub my hands together, just starring at where Pete once stood shirtless.
Then, I broke.
I collapsed onto my knees, and curled up into a ball, crying.
I beat the ground, I pulled at my hair, I cried out, so loud.
Then, I sprung up in bed, covered in a cold sweat. I looked around, breathing hard.
Oh yeah, Pete had left for home at around eleven, to feed Hemmy.
It was all just a horrible nightmare.
I sat for a second, regaining my composure until I fell onto my pillow again.
Now I’m convinced.
I can never tell him.
