A Quiet Moment
0 reviewsTheresa talks to JAy and feels much better. Loaded with J/T stuff. (for my friends who love J/T stuff and wanted me to do that for this chapter).

I lied. I said that it was gonna take me a while to update any other story, and here i am udating another story. Okay so here's the last chapter for a while.
Outside, Theresa stared at the starry black sky. It was a clear night and the air was crisp, and considering Theresa was in a t-shirt and shorts as her PJ’s, it was freezing. But she didn’t mind, she was concentrating on other things. Like the loss of her parents, yet she was still partially happy being with her friends. She fingered the scar/imprint where the charm of the Kraken burnt off leaving her with a fish on her neck. Theresa was also feeling scared. She was worried about what was going to happen on this mission. She was scared about her friends if something would happen to them.
“Theresa?” came a familiar male voice from behind her.
“Oh hi Jay. I was just getting some fresh air.” He looked at the ground and walked towards Theresa.
“How are you?”
“I’ve been better. But it just seems like the bad things just won’t end. First my parents die, then I see my parents faces in the clouds, I fainted, I have shark bites all over my body, and I have a burn in the shape of a fish on my neck. One more bad thing and I think I’ll explode.” Theresa turned around and leaned on the edge of the boat. “I miss my mom and dad so much. I never got to spend time with them, even when I was little.”
“Why?”
“Well my dad just started to get obsessed with work, and my mom traveled the world. She sent me pictures of her, but it just wasn’t the same as the real thing.” Theresa began to cry a little. “I think the part that bothered my the most was they fought a lot and they only started to settle down before I was picked by Hermes, but then when I went home, my mom had left again. She often went away when she was mad at my dad. So I don’t what happened then.” Theresa paused and cradled herself in her arms. “I heard them arguing for hours sometimes after I went to bed. And the maids were really kind when this was happening. They made me special stuff to eat, and made sure they cleaned my room nicely. But-” Theresa paused.
“But what?” Jay asked softly.
“My mom and dad just wouldn’t stop arguing!” Theresa said a little more aggressively this time. Now she began to cry even harder, and Jay hugged her tightly.
“It’s okay, you’ll always have us.”
“I just feel bad about arguing with Archie that one time. I guess I just automatically did what my parents did. I feel so guilty about it sometimes; there’s like this animal gnawing at my insides when I think about what I said to him.” Jay chuckled a little, and until Jay said anything Theresa couldn’t see how it was funny.
“Archie said the same thing. He said that he felt bad for saying that stuff to you and he said parents argued a lot too, which could’ve been the reason for being mean to you,” Jay said comfortingly patting Theresa’s back. Theresa couldn’t help but laugh too.
“I guess we have something in common after all.” Suddenly, Theresa changed the subject. “The sky looks so beautiful at night here on the ocean. Look at all the stars.”
“That is amazing. I guess you can’t see them as well in New Olympia from all the lights.” Jay said, releasing Theresa from the hug.
“Whoa,” Theresa said putting her hand on her forehead. “I guess this really made me tired.”
“Come on, let’s get some sleep,” Jay said. Just when they reached the door, Theresa turned around.
“Thank you so much Jay. I feel so much. You’re awesome,” Theresa said giving him a hug before they went into their beds. Jay thought to himself in his bed, smiling,
‘I am apparently awesome’
