“Well, I think that went well,” Casey said as Pete ran his fingers through her hair, making her sigh softly and curl back against her boyfriend. They were laying together on her bed after the other three were long gone and Jasper had found some spot in the apartment to hide out.

“That it did,” Pete said with a soft yawn before he nuzzled her shoulder and slid his arm around her waist, pulling her closer.

She giggled softly and rested her arm against his, twining their fingers together as he kissed her shoulder. “I’m glad it did go so well though, the last thing I want is trouble. You know?”

“Mhm... I can safely say that you earned points tonight.”

“I did? How did I manage to do that?”

Pete chuckled and leaned back, pulling her with him so that when he slid back and pushed himself up on his side and looked down, he was looking down at her on her back. “Are you kidding me? Let’s see, you cooked vegan, which was fucking delicious as Hell, cooked it for Andy. That was points one through five. Points six, through like a million, was when Joe actually asked for seconds and didn’t just pick at the seconds, but ate the second helping.”

“Is it that special?” She asked as he bent his head down, eyeing her mouth.

“Mhm,” he said, brushing his lips against her own, his hand coming up to caress her cheek. “With Joe and Vegan, you might as well shove a plate of steaks in front of a Vegan.”

Casey giggled softly before Pete’s lips softly pressed against her own, their mouths melting against one another as she returned the kiss, shivering when he moaned softly in the back of his throat. Her fingers slowly tangled into his hair as he slid his arm around her waist. She slid her other arm around him as she moaned softly at the feel of his tongue tracing across her lips. She parted her lips, granting his curious tongue access.

Pete moved his hand from her cheek to her hair, gently tangling into the soft curls. As their tongues danced inside her mouth, he fought against his normal asshole side to keep from bringing his other hand up into uncharted, and uncertain territory. Any other girl he wouldn’t have cared if he was being too forward, but with Casey it was so much more different. She was real, one-hundred percent real and he loved it. He absolutely fucking loved it. He broke the kiss and kissed down her jaw line, to her neck.

She whimpered his name softly as her hand strayed to his hair. She gasped before moaning softly when his tongue and teeth found the spot on her neck, making her body react in a way she hadn’t felt before. “Oh Gods,” she whispered as he sucked softly at her spot, taking note of her reaction. She was only faintly aware of the fact that his hand that had been resting on her side was now at her hip, giving a small squeeze. Her body shivered against his when his tongue darted out before his teeth gently sank into her spot, making her gasp softly and grip his hair.

He groaned softly against her skin when she gripped his hair, making part of his anatomy twitch to life. As much as he didn’t want to, he knew he couldn’t push it. He bit down a little harder, hearing her moan, before he kissed her again. When he broke away, he looked down at her, both looking a little dazed by what had just happened. He bent his head down, softly brushing his lips against hers before he laid on his side, wrapping his arm around her.

“Oh... Wow,” she mused as Pete nuzzled her shoulder again. “Can I ask where that came from?” She asked, reaching over her shoulder to play with his bangs.

“Did it bother you?” He frowned slightly as his brows knitted together, worried he might have pushed the wrong button with her and invaded some type of space.

“No,” she said with a soft giggle that made his smile return to his face. “I was just wondering. One minute we’re talking about how you think I won major points tonight, and then the next we’re kissing.”

Pete chuckled softly. “I couldn’t help it, I just had to kiss you.” He interlaced their fingers together as he sighed softly, trying to get used to this; actually feeling happy. He could barely remember it, but he felt like he could get used to the warm feeling flowing through his veins, warming a place in his chest he’d almost forgotten.

His eyes landed on the bruise, that was now a green-ish yellow that was fading away. He still wanted to meet the woman that had hurt his girlfriend, leaving behind such an imprint, but obviously some emotional scars in two weeks. Anytime he went to stroke her cheek, his chest tightened, because she would flinch; unless her eyes were closed when he did it. He shifted and pushed himself up, bracing himself on his elbow as he bent his head down, lightly kissing the bruise, knowing it didn’t hurt anymore.

She looked over at him, their eyes meeting as she gave him a small smile that he returned before he kissed her cheek. “You should get going with how late it’s getting,” she said softly, even though she really didn’t want him to go. “Besides, I help open tomorrow, so you’d just wake up alone again.”

Pete nodded slightly, not really wanting to go either. “I can handle waking up alone Casey,” he replied. “I’m used to it.”

She frowned and turned over, curling against him, her face nuzzling his chest and her arm going around his waist. “You shouldn’t be. That’s a horrible thing to be used to.”

Pete wrapped his arms around her, one going under her neck, the other going around her upper torso as he kissed the top of her head. “It means so much to me that you care this much, to get upset over that for me Casey. You have no idea,” he whispered.

She kissed his chest softly before kissing him. “I care for you Pete, a lot. I don’t like the thought of you having to cope with something I myself know to be a painful feeling. It really is a horrible thing to have to deal with.”

Pete kissed her softly. “Then how about this... I stay the night, and when you wake up, you wake me up and I take you to work. I go ahead and pick you up and we have lunch together.”

Casey nodded as she kissed his chin, and then the hollow of his throat as his fingers raked through her hair.
