“What the fuck is wrong is with you!?” A male voice yelled, his voice reaching out in the hallway, making three sets of eyes advance to his door from down the hallway.
“You fucking dumbass!” Shot back a female voice, obviously pissed off and irritated.
“What were you thinking!?”
“The fuck man!?”
Pete, Andy, and Patrick stopped outside Joe’s hotel room when they heard the other screams from the inside, behind the supposed to be sound proof door. Pete looked at the other two and shook his head. “Yeah, this was a great idea,” he scoffed and knocked hard on the door, almost pounding on it.
“Just a fucking minute!” Joe screamed.
“Fucking retarded crap...”
Pete looked at Joe with a protective glare as his friend opened the door. He grabbed him by the shirt collar and shut the door after he pulled him up, pushing him against the opposite wall of the hallway. “What the fuck were you fighting with her about?” He growled, his teeth bared, bangs in his face, his eyes holding a murderous glint that scared the piss out of Joe who stare at him wide-eyed and gape-mouthed trying to find his words.
“Pete let him go,” Patrick said, putting his hand on his friend’s shoulder, hoping they wouldn’t have to replace their friend in the band.
“Dude, come on, chill,” Andy said, putting his hand on Pete’s other shoulder.
“Speak. Now,” Pete growled out, glaring into Joe’s scared eyes, not noticing it when the door opened.
“Pete, what are you doing hon?”
He glanced over his shoulder, his glare fading when he saw a confused looking Casey looking at him and Joe with an eyebrow lifted. “I...” He looked at Joe and then to her. “I thought he was being an ass to you...”
“Let him go baby,” she said softly, kissing his shoulder. “Thank you,” she said when Pete let him go and turned, putting his arms around her. “Joe and I were yelling, but not at each other. We were watching the game and some idiot got tackled when he could have avoided it.”
Pete stared down at her, then looked at Joe who had moved away and was rubbing his collar. “I’m sorry Joe, seriously man.”
Joe nodded and looked at Casey. “I’ll let you know how the game ends,” he said before he went to his room and shut the door.
Andy sighed. “Pete, I told you she would be fine...”
Casey looked at Andy, and then at Pete. “Let’s go to the room hon,” she said with a smile before she kissed him softly. “Okay?”
Patrick and Andy watched as Pete nodded and escorted her to the room they were sharing. Patrick looked at Andy. “Did you... Did he just go from kill to fluff in the blink of an eye? Or was I seeing things?”
“If you’re seeing things, then I am to,” Andy answered, smiling when his phone went off. “Um, I gotta take this,” he said and slipped off to the room he was sharing with Patrick.
Patrick shook his head and went to the door to Joe’s room, knocking softly. When his friend cautiously opened the door and sighed with relief when he saw only him, Patrick smiled and gave a small wave. “Can I come in JoeTroh?”
Joe opened the door wider and shut off his TV. “What the Hell man,” he said as he looked at Patrick with a frown, sitting on his bed.
Patrick frowned and sat next to him. “You know he’ll regret it later Joe,” he said as Joe leaned against him. “He’s just overly protective of her.”
“He’s a little too overprotective of her,” Joe pouted.
“I know man, but you know how Pete can get.”
Joe sighed. “Yeah, I know... So...”
“So...”
Patrick sighed softly as Joe brought up his hand and started playing with his hair. “Not that I mind, but what’s that for?” Patrick asked, laying his head on Joe’s shoulder.
“Just giving my friend some attention I know he’ll like since his girl ain’t around to play with his hair.”
“More like she isn’t around at all... We broke up Joe,” Patrick whispered and looked at the burgundy carpet of the hotel room.
Joe frowned and rubbed the back of Patrick’s head. “I’m sorry man, she shouldn’t have left you.”
“I left her...”
“Oh,” Joe said before he bit hi lip not sure what to say about that one. It wasn’t what he had been expecting since Patrick wasn’t usually the type to break up with someone. Now he was curious about what had made his friend break up with someone but he wouldn’t question it. He sighed and put his arm around Patrick, looking at the same horrid looking floor.
Patrick frowned as he fought back his feelings and emotions, wondering if why he head broken it off with his girlfriend had been a good idea.
