  facepaws i meant to hit "insightful" and managed to get "funny" instead. lucky it's that, too. i think what i liked best about it was the believable way the characters behaved - about the level of enlightened sophistication you'd expect from a pair of fifteen-year-olds. anyway. i thought it was great...

  Hey, Poe - it's pixee_led, from livejournal. I really loved the dialogue in this story. The outrage and frustration and embarrassment came through crystal clear. It made it so obvious how "tough" each one wants to be perceived and how fucking hard that is when you get all blushy about someone. ^_^

  Dialog is something that I enjoy working with and it’s (always) good to hear that I’ve succeeded in what I’ve attempted to do. smile

  I really like this story for a couple reasons.
  1) Love the way you worked it into the manga. The join is all but seamless. I really love that -- if you love a story, you don't ever want to just plunder it. I like 'missing scenes' like this one very much.
  2) Their mutual horror at discovering the attraction hits the perfect note, IMHO. They ARE fairly horrified; they're boys of a certain age and they're reacting right in character, I think. But, additionally cool -- the totally believable internal trip Ichigo takes towards acceptance. Very well done. Really damn fine.
