I like the premise a lot, it's an idea that I haven't seen explored quite like this before.
I could do without the slash references, but as long as they stay in the past, I'll keep reading. No details, please.Author's response
Hey, the closest I'll get to M/M sex is the occasional vague reference. honestly the only reason I included it here is because I'm a huge fan of Torchwood. I like the Capt. Jack character, what can I say.
as for slash...unless you're referring to the guitarist or the former NFL quarterback, I don't care for it. heck, I don't really care for the former NFL quarterback.Innocence Faded

Very nice, Gotta love a 'Ginny's a bitch' fic. I hope you continue.Author's response
I'm glad that you like it. After I posted it on FFdotNet, I realized that it was very similar to your excellent "Acts of Betrayal." Maybe AoB was a subconcious influence, I think I wrote tis one the day after I read the most recent entry of AoB. I already have the next chapter started, it takes a seriously dark turn. I pull from the dark corners of my psyche for the next chapter.Innocence Faded

Now that's an interesting, very interesting start. I can see this getting quite interesting, esp. when Ginny finds out that Harry, and Hermione, know what she did to them. I daresay it's going to send a number of ripples through a number of parts of the wizarding world; not the least of which will be the Burrow and other environs Weasley.
I thought Harry's memories of a sexually active past were interesting and, actually, somewhat appropriate for a repressed teenager finally starting to express himself. I can see he's firmly, at best we can tell, on the full hetero- side these days but I'm sure the full sum of his experiences have been of use to him.
I do hope you continue as, while you've got some elements in common with otehr stories, there are enough differences here to make things interesting.Author's response
I assume one of those differences is the supportive/grown up Ron. I never liked Ron bashing really.
As for there being other fics like this...I dunno. The only love potion fic I ever read was the aforementioned "Acts of Betrayal," and I honestly don't know where the idea for a post epilogue fic came from, as I usually ignore them. A manic cycle truly is a thing of wonder. As for the Burrow, it's a very dark morning for Molly Weasley. Evil Smirk
and I just reviewed my own story trying to respond to your review. I hope I can delete the review. I feel like an idiot right now.Innocence Faded

Hey I definitely want to see this continue! From reading couple other fics over the years and using there ideals isnt this a form of line theft! I mean using that to break up a marriage just so you can get the man of that broken up marriage and then continuing to feed him potions, what kind of a women would do that!Innocence Faded

I really hated what JKR did to Harry and Hermione. The only logical conclusion is that Voldemort was possessing her while she was writing those last two books. Seriously, Harry's sudden and total infatuation with a heretofore unknown witch, a mere bit-player in the Potterverse, who, other than being the damsel in distress, in book two, is a total and complete non-entity, until in five, she suddenly arrives on scene as 'SUPER-GINNY' Faithful, brave and intelligent defeater of chest-monsters everywhere! That Harry would fall for such an obvious Barbi-Sue after so many years oof beiing side too side withh Hermione, his best friend, and would abandon her in a fit of pique is too hard to swallow. (OK I can see the fit of pique. He's done that before.) Not to mention Ron constantly insults Hermione throughout the series, and the fact that she could think circles around him without breaking a sweat.
I think this can only be explained by the use of freelance pharmaceuticals. Molly as much as told Ginny and Hermione she used them on Arthur in order to 'hurry him along'. Great mothering, neh?
Your Ron is a nice change from ooth canon ad most fanfictions. Here, he is understanding and intelligennt. He is more concerned with their welfare than his own. I like that!
I have added this to my 'alerts' list, and hope to read more very soon. AlorkinAuthor's response
Well, it was kinda obvious to me when I watched the movie of The Chamber of Secrets (I watched the first two movies before I ever picked up any of the books) that Harry and Ginny would probably end up together in the end. Not that I like it, mind you. She should have been fleshed out a lot more.
I don't mind that Harry ended up with Ginny, but still...she is the most important one dimensional character outside of "Pride and Prejudice." I do prefer Harry/Hermione.
As for Ron/Hermione...I would never have predicted that happening before I read book six.
I figured that after nineteen years he would be a little more grown up. I think some people will like the beginning of my next chapter.Innocence Faded

to echo what several other reviewers have said; I'm glad that there isn't any Ron bashing going on. Hey, Ron bashing can be fun, no doubt, but it does get old.
Looking forward to more
