Backtrack the mind
Sukai had finally snapped out of it. She was back in the real world. She kept the scroll in her hands but it was rolled up. She slowly lifted her head to look at Sasori.
What are the chances that he would know who got this scroll?
She thought to herself as she looked back at the ground. She graced her eyes on him again to see he was done with his hand, just now noticing the ticking sound had stopped.
Should i ask him?
She was quiet for the most part. She needed to know who got this scroll, where, how, when. She was curious. For a good chunk of her long life she had been searching for it endlessly. Failing for the first time in all her set goals. The first of many. Sukai took in a silent breath and finally spoke a word since she picked that scroll out from the slot.
"Sasori-San, Do you know who got this scroll?" She said with ease as she held up the scroll with the title facing him. He looked at it and gave a chide nod. "Who was it?" She said as her gaze became more stern. Her eyebrows knitted together a bit, and her faced tense ever so slightly.
"I got it when Orochimaru was in the organization. That was a few years ago though. If memory serves me right it was pretty close to when he got all power hungry and left after getting defeated by Itachi-San." He said looking up at the ceiling as if it held all of his memmories and he was just reading them off.
"Where did you get it?" Sukai asked. A bit more relaxed then before. He lifted a brow and stared at her.
"Why?" She shifted some at that one question.
"Ill tell you after you tell me where you got it, when you got it, and why" She said not looking at him but rather to her left as if something was there. He sighed and ran a hand through his red hair. He leaned back a bit more and broght his left leg up to prop his arm on it.
"I cant place an exact date on it, but it was probaby about four to five years ago. Maybe a bit more than that..." He said kinda of drifting off subject to think of the exact date. Sukai gave a semi-loud sigh to bring him back.
"It was down way south. Off the mainland. Even farther down past the moon village island. Some part of the world that was uncharted but still exsisted."
Sukai looked like she was just baffled. As if the answer was right in front of her for all these years and she didnt even bother to look into uncharted areas of the world. She got over herself and looked back at sasori. He took that look she gave him as his que to continue.
"Why...well it was a mission no doubt but i know you dont want a answer like that..." Sasori looked back up at the ceiling. His faced tensed as he looked back at her then on the ground with knitted brows together.
"Dont get mad at me, but...leader never told us the reason to why he wanted it. He just sent us to get it. I dont even know how he knew where the scroll was. And up until this point i never bothered to look into it or question it."
Sasori placed his hand on his forehead and bent his head down and shook it slowly. As if he was ashamed he never bothered to asked of a signifigance for retrieving the scroll. He quickly got over that and returned his vision to the women infront of him.
"So tell me why you are so intersted in this scroll" He said as if the whole thing didnt happen. He regained his composure quite fast.
"I've been searching for this very scroll for years. It was the very first thing i tried to get after the whole village kicked me out. I only read about it in the archive of kumo. I only looked at i once and everything within the text had me mesmorized. A Scroll to summon a devine creature. a god of sorts. this held my interest for years. When i asked around about it the only response i ever got was that it didnt exist. One day when i left on a mission to Konoha i went into their library. There was another story that dealt with the same thing. But it was told in a different way. Like what the shinobi's of konoha felt about it. I got the idea that there might be a scroll telling the same story just different views of it in every village. I asked for mission to go to other villages. Preferably the other major four. Suna, Konoha, Kiri, Iwa. I did get to go to all of them. I was right. There was a book of the same story but with different views. Kumo and Iwa had the same views, using it for war. Konoha thought of it as a threat. And Suna thought of it as a link. Konoha predicted right. It did drive the villages into war. When one wanted to take contol they would use that. The thing is that only a destinated person can actually summon this god. anyone else who tried who die trying literally. Only one person ever got to summon him, but that person died before they could get a clear glace at the god. Most people forgot, as if it was all a dream. Because the scroll was never found again. Some said it was burned which became a rumor all over, Other said it was just lost somewhere. I was one of those people who beleived it was lost. I was half right, but after years of searching and ending up with nothing i gave up. The fact that its right here in my hands is shocking but at the same time exciting. I want to try to release the god right now, but i know it wont work. Not yet anyways."
Sukai said this all looking spaced out of it. Sasori stared at her the entire time taking in her story and he was somewhat curious now. About what kinda of god creture resided in there, or how to summon it. He never saw anything in the suna library about a rare scroll that held a god like creature. And he should have known. He went in there many time for mission assignments when he had to look up something.
"I have never heard of anything like that up until now." He said. He began to think as far back as possible to get information he might have missed when recalling leader's explanation to get the scroll. He sighed and gave up for the meantime. He needed rest, or at least to get out of this closet.
