Brendon visited the Spin and Sip every day for the rest of the week. He met Cameron, who turned out to be awesome. He was the ultimate surfer boy, from the sandy blonde hair to the happy-go-lucky personality. He too was singer, so the had lenghty yet interesting conversations about their experiences as vocalists. Then, when Jamie would get off work, she and Brendon would either go back to his apartment (Much to Ryan's confusing displeasure) or go to hers. They hadn't been on an officail "Date" yet, nor had they announced they were an "Item", but everyone was under the impression that they were. It was now Friday, and Jamie had just closed the shop early with Cameron's permission. She and Brendon were sitting outside on a little park bench, looking at the cloudless sky and admiring the stars. Brendon had his arm around her shoulders, a gesture that had become manditroy, like breathing, to them.

"Have you ever looked up at the stars and just felt like no matter how alone you felt, you never really were, because somewhere else in the world someone was looking up at the same sky as you?" Jamie asked, laying her head on Brendon's shoulder. "I mean, no matter what language you speak, or how poor you are, or what you believe in, or the colour of your skin, you all see the same stars as everyone else. It's like we're all connected under this huge blanket, or something. And if everyone just, got it, like we do, the world would be so much better off." She fell silent at this point, letting Brendon take all that she had said in. He loved having these late night conversations with her. She had very strong, educated opinions and veiws he greatly enjoyed hearing. She had this way of explaining what was in her head that made no sense, yet all the sense in the world at the same time.

"I get what you mean. It's like someone sewed us all together, then ripped us apart, and the missing pieces are in the sky." Brendon said softly. Jamie looked at him, admiration in her eyes.

"I love the way you just get me." She sighed, cuddling in closer to Brendon. He planted a kiss on her forehead. They sat there a little while longer before Brendon's cellphone buzzed. He flipped it open to reveal a text message from Ryan.

From: Ryan Ross (6471239087)

To: Brendon Urie (6410987456)

hey man, pete just called, hes in town and wants to see us. hes on his way to our apartment right now, so come home. he says bring jamie, but please, dont hesitate NOT to.

ryan.

Brendon ignored the last statement.

"Hey, Pete's coming back to the apartment. I have to go, but he said to bring you along. Wanna come?" He asked. Jamie got up and stretched, her green "Friends not food" t-shirt sliding up slightly, showing her stomach enough to show a bell button ring, and also enough to make Brendon want to see more. She caught him looking and put her hands on either side of his face, making him look at her.

"No no no little Urie, not yet." She cooed, making him laugh. "Ad yes, I will come to meet your boss and convince him not to take you away from me for so long." Brendon sighed.

"I told you J, I HAVE to go on tour. It's my job." Brendon said. Jamie knew the answer but always brought it up anyways. This time was no different. She gave up for the time being and kissed Brendon softly on the lips before taking his hand and walking to his car. He opened the door for her and made sure she was seated before jumping into the driver's side and starting the engine. They drove to Brendon's apartment building fairly quickly. They took the elevator up and walked to the door, hand in hand the whole time. Brendon used his key and opened the door to the apartment. Inside, Ryan, Jon, Spencer, and Pete were all sitting in the living room, talking and laughing. Ryan's face fell when he say Brendon and Jamie holding hands, but again Brendon ignored him. Pete stood up and hugged Brendon, then gave Jamie a sweep from head to toe with his eyes. He looked her in the eyes and smiled, offering a hand.

"I'm Pete Wentz, Brendon's high and mighty boss." Everyone laughed. Jamie shook his hand.

"Im Jamie Mandler." Everyone kept looking at her. "What?" She finally asked.

"Finish the sentance...." Jon coaxed. Jamie gave him a confused looked. Finally understanding, Brendon laughed.

"I think you're supposed to say 'his girlfriend'" Brendon said. Jamie blushed.

"Fine then, I'm Brendon's girlfriend." She said. Everyone but Ryan cheered. Jamiw and Brendon sat down on the couch together, but Pete squeezed between them.

"Nope, you're not aloud to distract him while we're trying to work, so I'm keeping you sperated." Pete teased.

"Sure you won't get distracted?" Jamie shot back. Pete grinned.

"You can distract me all you want." Pete said. There was an 'ooooooh' from the guys, but Jamie just laughed and shoved him. Some stupid comment like that couldnt rattle her.

"Sorry Wentz, I only date talented, good-looking guys. Im afraid you fall short in both those catagories." She said in a matter-of-fact voice. Pete laughed and turned to Brendon.

"Okay dude, where'd you find this one? I want one too!" He said. Everybody laughed.

With all the commotion, Ryan was able to slip upstairs. He couldn't stand to see Jamie and Brendon together any longer. Ryan felt so guilty, so ashamaed. He knew what he wanted was bad, but he couldnt help it. He wanted something it would hurt alot of people to have.

He wanted Jamie.
