*Apologies for taking so long*
Jamie awoke the next morning, her head spinning. She could feel Pete's arm drapped heavily across her waist, causing her headache to worsen. Fighting tears, she tried to break free of Pete's embrace without waking him up. She thought she was almost there, until his arms tightened once again around her waist.
"Where do you think you're going?" He murmured into her ear, his breath hot against her cheek.
"To find Brendon." She said, once again struggling against his grip. He refused to loosen it. Pete was panicking on the inside, but he couldnt let it show. He didn't want her to leave. He wanted her to stay in bed with him, to lay there, sharing a pillow, and just marvel at each other. He took his other arm and slipped it underneath her, pulling her almost on top of him.
"Not so fast, beautiful. You're fine here for now." He said, his fingers brushing back and forth across her stomach. She hated the fact that she needed to stay with him at least as much, if not more, then she wanted to see Brendon. His fingers dragged upwards, pulling at her tanktop. She let her body go limp against him as he trailed soft kisses down her neck. She sighed as he kissed her shoulders, his hands caressing her hips and thighs. She rolled over on top of him, resting her head against his bare chest. "How do you feel?" He asked her. He had taken it slow last night, not pushing any major comfort levels. That could come later. She shrugged.
"I'm a little stiff." She admitted, mumbling sleepily into his skin. Pete's fingers toyed with her silky black hair.
"That should've been expected." He told her. "I was gentle as I could've been with you." He continued running his fingers through her hair. "Where does it hurt the most?" He asked after she didn't respond to him. She sighed and rolled off of him.
"My lower back, and my abdomin." She sighed. Pete instinctivly put his hand just below her belly button and began to slowly massage her, moving his hand in slow, relaxing circles.
"Mmm." Jamie moaned softly. Pete's hand was warm, and felt good against her skin. "I love you, Peter." She said quietly before drifitng back into a much more peaceful sleep. Pete smiled to himself.
"I love you too."
Brendon had slept horribly that night without Jamie beside him. He worried abuot where she could have gone, where she had ended up sleeping. More worrisome, with WHO she had ended up sleeping. Brendon feared that Jamie was so distraught last night, anyone could have easily taken advantage of her. Realizing there was no way he was getting any more sleep without knowing where she was, he sighed and crawled out of bed. He threw on wrinkled clothes out of his suitcase, did his best to tame his hair, and vacated his hotel room. He stood outside his room for a moment, contemplating the best form of action. He decided his ebst bet was to *67 his number and call her, in hopes she would pick up without realizing it was him. He dialed the numbers as he began to walk down the hall. When it started to ring, he also heard the faint sound of "I write sins not tragidies". That was Jamie's ringtone. He followed the sound until it got so strong, he figured out it was coming from the room 5 doors down from his. Brendon gasped in shock.
