Chapter 3

Kendra’s POV

I woke up in Brendon’s arms. I opened my eyes and he was staring at me. “Good morning.” I said. “Have I told you that you’re beautiful?” A time or two.” I smiled. “When are you going to the studio?” “I actually should get ready. Are you going to come with me?” “I think I’ll come to the studio later.” “Okay. I’m going to take a shower.” “Alright.”

After Brendon left I went to the kitchen. I made some toast and poured myself a glass of orange juice. “Good morning.” I turned around. “Hi, Patrick. Did you sleep well?” “Not really. I had a hard time getting to sleep.” “I’m sorry.” “It’s alright. I’ll live. I’m going to the studio now. Can you tell Brendon I left?” “Sure. Don’t you want any breakfast?” “No. I’ll pick something on the way.” “Alright. See you later.”

A few minutes later Brendon came out. He put his arms around me. “Hey, sweetheart.” “Hi. You smell good.” “I should hope so. What are you going to do this morning?” “I think I’ll just take it easy and around noon come and see you.” “Alright. Where’s Patrick?” “Oh, he wanted me to tell you that he went to the studio.” “Okay. I probably should get going. I’ll see you later.” Brendon gave me a kiss.

Around noon I took a cab to the studio. I walked in and heard Brendon singing. He had such a beautiful voice. My heart always stopped when he sang. “Hey, Kendra.” “Hi, Patrick. How are things going?” “Good. Here, sit down.” He pulled our a chair next to him for me. “What are you doing?” “First, I’m trying to get a feel for the song and then we’ll record it. That’s what this button is for. Then these get the pitch and tone how it should be. It’s kind of hard to explain.” “You lost me after you said you get a feel for the song.”

Brendon got done singing. “Brendon, that was good. I need you to sing it again.” Brendon started to sing the song once more. “Did you do anything today?” Patrick asked me. “No. Just took it easy.” “Sounds fun.” He smiled and for some reason my hand went to his thigh.

He looked down. I quickly took my hand off his thigh. “I’m sorry.” “It’s alright.” “No, it’s not.” I got up and went outside of the studio to the waiting area. “Baby, what happened? Did Patrick say something to upset you?” I turned around. “No. I just was getting a headache. Are you free to get some lunch?” “Yeah. Let me get my jacket.”

I waited for Brendon in the waiting area. Patrick got out of the studio. “Kendra, please don’t be so upset. It wasn’t anything.” “No, but maybe I want it to be something.” Brendon came out. “Ready. Patrick, we’re going to get something to eat.” “Alright. See you later.” Brendon and I went to a café.

Brendon’s POV

Kendra and I walked to a café. “Sweetie, is everything alright?” I asked. “Yeah. Just a little tired, I guess. How is the recording going?” “Great. Patrick really knows how to bring the best out of someone.” “That’s good.” “Here we are.” We went into the café and order a couple sandwiches and cokes.

Afterwards, we walked back to the studio. Patrick was there working on a song. “Did you get any lunch?” “No. I thought I would work on some songs. Did you have a nice time?” “Yeah, we did. Kendra, I need to talk to Ryan.” “Alright.”

I went and found Ryan. We talked about a song we were still writing. I looked over at Kendra. It looked like she was upset. Patrick was talking to her and he didn’t look too happy. “Brendon, are you listening?” “Um, yeah. That sounds good. I’m going to see if Patrick still needs me.” I walked over to Patrick and Kendra.
“Is something wrong?” Kendra looked at me. “No. We were just talking. I think I’m going to go.” “Patrick, do you need me anymore today?” “No, we’re done with the singing for now.” “Okay. I’m going to go with Kendra.” “Alright. See you two later.”

Kendra and I went to the car. “What were you and Patrick talking about?” “Nothing really. Just songs.” “You looked pretty upset. Actually, you both did.” “He was just telling me there was someone he likes and he can’t tell the person.” “Anybody we know?” “If your hinting at me, your looking for trouble.” “Face it, I come home and you are almost in each other arms and today you both look upset.” “Brendon, your jealous.” “Maybe I am.” “You don’t need to be. I love you.”

She smiled, but something was missing in her eyes. “I love you, too.” Kendra ran her hand up my thigh. “What are you doing?” “What do you think?” “I’m trying to drive.” She rubbed the front of my jeans. I was getting hard. “Sweetheart, please. If we get into an accident your going to be the one to explain to the police.” “Okay. Your no fun.”

We got to Patrick’s house and couldn’t get to the bedroom fast enough. Once there I took Kendra’s shirt off. I ran my hands down her arms and took her bra off. I kissed her sliding my tongue into her mouth. My hands went to her breasts. I gently squeezed them. My lips went to her nipples. I sucked on her nipples of her one breast while I rubbed the other.

I took my shirt off. “Brendon, I need you.” She unbuckled my belt and unsnapped and unzipped my jeans. I took them off and Kendra took her own off. I took her panties and my boxers off. “Brendon, please.” I sat on the bed and Kendra straddled me. “I love you, Bren.” “I’ll always love you.” I went inside of her. She began to move on top of me. She felt so good. “Brendon!” She was grabbing my shoulders.

I could feel her tighten around me. “Baby, I’m coming.” “Yes, Brendon. Now!” I could feel myself let go. I fell back on the bed with Kendra. She slide off and went into my arms. “You are so special. I’m so glad to have you in my life.” “Brendon, you’re special to me too. I’m glad we met.”

Patrick’s POV

When Kendra and Brendon came back I wanted to talk to Kendra alone. Brendon went to talk to Ryan. “Kendra, we need to talk.” “I guess we do.” “What did you mean about maybe you want it to be something?” “I don’t know.” “You must of known what you meant.” “I can’t tell you.” “Kendra, talk to me. Tell me what happened before.” “I think I’m falling for you and I don’t want to. I love Brendon. He means everything to me.”

I stared at her. I couldn’t believe what she was saying. “Kendra, you don’t mean that. You can’t be falling for me.” Before we finished Brendon came over and they left. Kendra’s words went over in my mind. That’s all I heard. I didn’t get any work done. I finally went home at midnight.

Brendon was up. “Hey, Patrick.” “Hi.” I sat on the couch next to him. “Long day?” “Yeah.” “What were you and Kendra talking about this afternoon?” “Um, what?” “This afternoon. You both looked very upset.” “Yeah, I guess we were.” I needed to come up with something. I didn’t want to tell Brendon. I didn’t know how he would take it. It might ruin our friendship. “I was telling her about someone I like. She kinda was telling me she felt that way awhile ago. Before she met you.”

“Do you want to talk about it? What’s she like?“ “I don’t know if I should tell you.“ “I think you should talk to the girl. Tell her how you feel.“ So maybe what I said was a lie. But what I said next wasn’t. “Brendon, it’s not a girl. It’s you.”
