Great to see more of this, and a heck of a chapter here, could just feel the frustration Harry had as he was working to get those stupid roosters to crow, and then with all that, he ends up with Ginny/Tom with the diary again. Can't wait to see how things play out, and the aftermath of all this, and maybe some more meetings with Narcissa and Harry?Author's response
Well, there are at least two extensive get-togethers with Narcissa to come, both of which should, if I do my job right, should be quite amusing.

Good update, it's a pity that it takes you longer than I to update. I do hope that you found your muse and are back into the writing game again. I'm curious as to where you will go with Young Ginny Weasley here because, regardless of the plot, Harry still has a vested interest in both Luna and Ginny as a somewhat Guardian friend and it would be a shame to eliminate either of them for the greater good, so to speak. Please update soon.

Yes indeed, Harry's "saving people thing" is definitely an impulse he can't seem to control. As for "the Greater Good", he will be having a conversation with Albus on just that topic sometime around the time he gives James and Lily the gift of the truth.

I'm glad to see this story continued as I had been wondering about it recently.
At first, I was wondering if Slytherin had put a charm on the Chamber to prevent a rooster from crowing. This was a well plotted and written scene.
I'm looking forward to find out how Harry deals with Ginny/Tom and if Luna is alright.
Thanks for posting...Author's response
Not to worry, Luna is fine. A bit worried at this point but fine. thanks for reading.

Now, THERE'S a cliffhanger and a half!
Whoa!
Great job - I love the uncooperative roosters. And wonderful characterization of Luna. I really enjoy this story. You've got a nice sense of pace and mood.Author's response
Thank you for your kind words. BJHLike Some Song You Can't Unlearn

Effing idiot started thinking like Dumbledore by not stunning Ginny. Aside from that obvious plot device, I was impressed by this chapter. It almost made me laugh to discover that Harry's second way of killing the basilisk was nearly as tough as his first one.Author's response
Yes, gentleness used where firmness is needed is usually a portent of failure. Just look at DD's treatment of Snape and Draco in canon. BJHLike Some Song You Can't Unlearn

I was really pleased to see this update. The fight in the chamber was great,in the few other fics, that i've read that had Harry redoing the fight with the Basilisk,it's always been easy for him to win.Keep up the good work.Author's response
When has anything ever been easy for Harry, except flying? That is the heart of the Harry Potter world. BJHLike Some Song You Can't Unlearn

Finally an update. An excellent update though. But i must say that you're mean. After so long you leave as with a cliffie? Hope to see an update soon.Author's response
Blame the cliffie on my Beta. I was going to stretch the chapter a couple thousand words and closeout this little loop in the plot but she told me to go ahead and post it with a cliffhanger. BJHLike Some Song You Can't Unlearn

-Great, how did that little brat get down here?- you know he's got to be thinking it. Stupid Weasleys, and their inability to stay out of trouble. Wonder what happens next.Author's response
The Weasley's inability to stay out of trouble? Now that would be the pot calling the kettle black. Thanks for the review and for reading. BJHLike Some Song You Can't Unlearn

I enjoyed the chapter. I'm going to have to reread the story to recover all the context. I like the action and I am most interested to see how it is resolved. Thanks for writing. W.Author's response
