Finally a chapter, a good chapter. I loved Luna and Justin's Parents scene and the interaction we see between Harry and Nevile. Update soon. The Acts Of Betrayal

Insane incest wonder twins powers activate. OK, I thought that it was a pretty lame duck way to take out Ron, even though I hate the git, but at the same point, you kind of broke Ginny with his death. That I like. That has some potential. That would be funny to see, over and over, again and again in a somewhat ritualistic fashion which borders on the obsessive. :)... Now, get back to Tonks. That was funnier, still.

- Insane Incest Wonder Twins... I like that.
- I just postulated that like normal insane people have been known to exhibit extraordinary physical strength, perhaps insane Wizards spike on the magic charts...
- Don't really plan on anything else for Tonks (in this fic) she probably won't show up again. The Acts Of Betrayal

Just finished reading the story and though a lot is disturbing you can see it happening in that world; so many things easy to abuse. Was disappointed that Harry still viewed Ron as a brother. Just can't see that, even if the person was my flesh and blood brother I would disown them and hate their guts. I think you, like JKR, make Harry way, way too forgiving and mild. Surely there was a nice castration curse out there? Perhaps a balding and infertility curse for Ginny. Let Harry's slytherin side out a little. Hope you have better revenge planned for AD.The Acts Of Betrayal

- Of course his deal will be a choice of life in Azkaban or 99 years in Azkaban...
Given wizard lifespans, the second one still seems like the better deal. 'Sides, a lot of angry fathers, brothers, etc. might forget in that time.

That would be unfortunate if they did. Eternal torture for him isn't punishment enough. Snape is an abomination in this fic. He should be forced to experience what his victims went through from their perspective (including experiencing their pain) for the rest of his natural life. If it is possible, they should curse his soul in a way that would allow the punishment to continue for all eternity. The Acts Of Betrayal

Well, I didn't say they would, solely that, in Snivellus' case, I'd gamble that over life in Azkaban. Personally, I'm for recording everything his victims experienced and locking them into the equivalent of an infinite do-loop in his mind (can you tell I'm old enough to remember seeing those in Fortran IV? :D)The Acts Of Betrayal

Everything in that chapter was just right!
As a young nurse, I helped transport a psychotic man to the appropriate hospital - he got loose in the back of the ambulance with me, and it took two cops plus two massive orderlies (and me!) to eventually restrain and sedate him. I HATE to think what it would be like with magic added to the mix!
Justin and Luna are wonderful, the scene with Snape was perfect and Nev and Harry was delightful.Author's response
- My experience was with a gentleman with a psychotic episode who beat the crap out of me and three other guys... I just postulated the same effect on someone's magic.
- Luna so often gets treated badly in fics, why shouldn't she be happy? And Justin dies with alarming frequency...
- As far as Neville goes, I've always thought that he was the least respected character in canon, and really always should have been Harry's best bud...The Acts Of Betrayal

An interesting chapter indeed.
It was strangely poignient that Ron should have had a moment of clarity and heroism at the end. His life was twisted by his own ambitions and Dumbledore's lies but, at the very end, he was gifted with a warrior's death for the cause in which he genuinely believed.
I hope that Ginny didn't escape from the hospital. If she gets out she would make Bella look like an inoffensive kitten by comparison and would have a homicidal fixation on Harry and Hermione. BTW - A nice touch to refer to the DH Epilogue as, perhaps, being one of crazy!Ginny's fantasies made real.
Snape is in trouble. However, to save his worthless life, he will drop Dumbledore right into the nasty stuff. The trial should be quite interesting to see, with the presiding judge ending up being indicted as a co-conspirator.
BenRG's Rating: 8/10Author's response
- That was what I was after, though many felt that he should have died in a much slower and more painful way.
- Ginny was taken back into care when the Aurors arrived to witness reducto #22...
- I like the idea that the Crapilogue was all the fevered imaginings of a damaged mind... it would explain so many things. The Acts Of Betrayal

Hmmm....I was just rereading the chapter when something occured to me. That prisoner Wormtail got offed over...was it Remus? And I loved Luna's visit to Justin's home, it looks like he's found the perfect person to get along with his mother! As always, thanks for the story!Author's response
- Nah, it was a muggle woman they were fighting over from a scene in chapter 13 that I culled out because, quite frankly it was crap and forgot to ever re-write it...
