This chapter is more of a filler. Things will be...heating up really soon. ;) Thanks so much for all the reviews. You guys are amazing. Keep it up.
Sitting in Sociology, I tried my best to pay attention to the lecture, but I couldn't keep my mind focused on what the professor was saying. I was too busy thinking about another professor. I had dreamed about Gerard again, only this time things went a little bit farther than they had in the last dream. I had been awakened by my alarm clock, much to my disappointment, to find myself in a cold sweat and my covers tangled up at the end of my bed.
Ever since my conversation with Gerard the day before, I couldn't seem to think about anything else. It was like he had taken over my mind. Of course, being her usual overly blunt self, Hannah had told me to 'ask him to draw me naked, and then really 'work hard' for my extra credit.' I couldn't help but to laugh at her, even though it made me feel even more nervous about the situation, though it really shouldn't have.
When class ended I was still in a daze. I waited for most everyone to find their way out before I stood up, as I usually did so I wouldn't get stuck in the middle of a bunch of them trying to force their way out the door all at the same time. Once most everyone had left, I gathered my things and headed for the exit.
Outside I walked slowly, telling myself to calm down. This situation was a little too much for me. A man had never made me feel so nervous or distracted. Though, to be fair, I had never met a man that turned me on so much either. Just my luck that the one time I do meet someone like him, it's someone I know I shouldn't get involved with.
I walked into class behind a few other students and headed towards the table I sat at the last time. This time I had managed to bring a small sketch book and a few drawing pencils, though I pretty much figured I would spend most of my time spacing out. This wasn't good for my grades. At all.
Gerard was sitting at his desk, oblivious to the fact that I had even entered the room as he continued whatever it was he was doing. After a few minutes, when most everyone in the class was there, Gerard got up and stood in front of his desk. He glanced over the room, letting his eyes linger on me a moment longer than the rest before speaking, "Everyone having a good day?"
A few people grumbled, while others merely nodded their response. "I see. What an exciting bunch I have today," Gerard commented, "Anyone have something to turn in?" I looked around the room to see if anyone would actually say they did.
One guy held his hand up meekly, "I do, but I kinda forgot it in my car." His face turned red as he spoke. He was obviously not one to like speaking in public. Not that I can blame him.
"Well, it won't do you much good there. You can bring by later today, or you could just bring it in Friday," Gerard replied, still looking around to see if anyone else was going to speak up. When everyone else remained silent, Gerard grinned and rolled his eyes, "I know I said there was no time limit, but I guess I shouldn't have put it so vaguely. I'd really like to have everyone turn something in by Friday," he said, "I'll let it slip, since I'm the one that made the mistake."
He returned to his desk after saying "Anyone that has their supplies with you, go ahead and keep working."
I opened my sketch pad and stared at the blank sheet of paper, wondering what in the hell I could possibly draw. Glancing up, I made eye contact with Gerard. Was he staring? I smiled at him as he smirked before turning his gaze to his desk.
To try and take my mind off of him, I started to draw, although I still had no idea what. After a several moments of mindlessly scribbling, I scanned the picture and rolled my eyes. I had drawn a cat. Well, I had attempted to draw a cat. I turned out looking more like a horse than anything else. Frustrated, I tore the page from the book and wadded it up.
I attempted to draw a few more times, before giving up after they had all ended with a similar result. I gave in finally and rested my head on the desk, letting flashbacks from my dreams the past few nights invade my thoughts.
When I heard everyone else getting up, I sat up and rubbed my eyes. I was obviously forming a habit here, and not a good one. "Blair, I need to speak with you really quick please." Gerard said in a bland tone, catching me by surprise.
I nodded and headed over to him as the rest of the class cleared out. Gerard was sitting behind his desk when he spoke again, "So, you going to be able to make it?" he asked, though he seemed a little nervous at the moment. He kept looking towards the door as if he were scared someone would walk in and seeing him talking to me.
"Yeah, if that's okay with you..." I glanced over my shoulder to see if I was missing something. No one was there at the moment, though I wasn't sure how long he had until his next class.
After a few more seconds of staring intently at the doorway, he finally turned back to me and grinned, "Yeah, I'm looking forward to it," he replied. Standing up, he walked over to me, "If you don't mind, I'd prefer you not say anything to anyone. Wouldn't want them to think anything's going on here. I'm not sure if this kind of thing is even allowed, though I don't see what the problem would be."
I nodded in agreement as he stared down at me, his face merely a few inches from my face. Closing my eyes, I could feel his breath on my lips, causing me to shiver a little at the sensation. If I hadn't had any self control, I would have thrown myself at him by this point. I opened my eyes to see that sexy smirk he liked to show off so much, "Then I'll see you at six.".
