We then had split up into 2 different parts of the camp.
“Okay, listen up surfers 2 of you will ride a wave just so I can see where everybody is, it is not a race, Alex Walker (Julius) and Jason Bridge your up first.” Said the instructor
“Okay.” I said
We both then headed towards the water, with our surf boards in hand.
“Okay, on the count of 3 you’ll start 3…2….1.” said the instructor
We were off, a small tsunami was forming and I was in front of Jason he was good but I was better. But all of a sudden he lost control and crashed head first into the water!?.
“Jason!” I yelled
I then started pulling him out of the water. Everyone started to gather around us and all I could hear were gasps and a few people crying I’m guessing his friends or family.
“Out of the way!” yelled the instructor
I thought somebody was going to give him mouth to mouth but instead the instructor injected a needle with some kind of serum, something I’ve never seen before. He then began to wake up but he didn’t look normal he had pale eyes, he looked like he was cold but yet it was very humid out and his eyes didn’t have any color, all I know is that, that serum wasn’t any ordinary medicine.
(At the tennis courts) (Delilah)
“Sky (Delilah) hit that ball forehand, backhand, slice volley, and overhead good now to the end of the line!” Said the instructor
This drill was pretty simple nothing weird was happening us tennis players were doing drills and the ball kids were picking up the balls, so I thought.
“Okay everybody now we will do one on one playing first one to 5 wins; Sky your up first against Erica lets see what your made of.” The instructor said
We started playing she was good but I was better because I knew her weakness, her backhand. I started aiming crosscourt to her backhand after about 4 exchanges on each point she began to break down mentally, I finally won.
“Okay good job Sky you saw that Erica’s backhand was weak and you kept aiming for her backhand good job, Erica nice try and don’t worry by the time this camp ends your backhand will be much stronger. Okay next Sierra verses Madison your up show me what you’ve got.” The instructor said
They then began started playing Sierra was making really good progress she was continuously cutting the ball short and Madison was becoming really clueless as each point progressed. But all of a sudden I saw one of the ball kids “accidentally”( yah right) drop a ball behind Madison and it began to roll until it hit Madison in result causing her to fall hard on her ankle.
We all began to crowd her with concern I insisted on helping her but the instructor denied it, instead he injected her with this weird serum that I had never seen before. She then began to wake up but she didn’t look the same she looked pail, her eyes had no color and it looked like she was really cold but all I know is that it was no ordinary serum.
(Back at the Cabin)
“So Julius how was the first day of training?” I asked
“Okay, I guess.” He said looking down
“What happened?” I asked knowing something was up
“Well today a kid almost had drowned and he was injected with this weird serum and when he woke up he was very pale all over, his eyes had no color and he looked very cold.” He said still looking down
“Wait something similar happened with me, we were playing 5 point tie breakers and in one match a girl tripped on a ball and she also got injected with a needle and when she woke up she had the exact same side effects.” I said with concern
“This is so one of Dr. Dismays schemes.” He said
“Julius cheer up we always figure out the bad guy.” I said
“I know but when I looked in that kid eyes I saw fear and lots of it that was no ordinary serum.” He said
“Well will this cheer you up?” I said proceeding to kiss him
“I guess.” He said making our lips collide
“So how about we get some lunch and see anything else that’s not normal.” I said
“Sure but I really like the having lunch part, 1 because we get spend some time alone and 2 I’m starved.” He said followed by me laughing
