OK, I liked the story up until the end. You do have an interesting hook with this ending. Obviously she's not what she presents herself to be and I have to ask because of this is this Harry/Narcissa bit just going to be a superficial part of the story are you going to put Harry into a position to actually have a relationship with her where he learns of her using potions to revert certain physical aspects of herself? OR are you going to draw the story to where Narcissa is potentially using a DARK potion which has horrible side-affects such as forced-progressed aging and addiction to the potion? OR is there going to be a ship change in the story as a result of the deception? Let me know.

Very good chapter. I like the action sequences with Narcissa and MacNair. I hope to see more chapters. Thanks for writing. W.Like Some Song You Can't Unlearn

Fascinating chapter, there. I can see why the students would be wary of him, anyone who demonstrates that much power and ability is worth being careful around. I can understand, but not necessarily approve of, the staff's attitude, esp. since they had to be shamed into doing what was right (surprised that he didn't hit Dumbles with the 'right vs. easy' quote). I thought the fight in the alley was nicely written and well-played.
Finally, that night with Narcissa was quite a hot piece of writing and much enjoyed. Her advice was quite to the point, too.
I'll be interested in seeing just where things go from here, both at Hogwarts and against Tom.Author's response
What makes you so sure the staff isn't ashamed? You make some nice comments but remember, it is only Harry's opinion that they are shunning him and he isn't exactly the best at the whole emotion thing. I'm glad you enjoyed Narcissa, after the last chapter Harry demanded some action so I gave him some. BJHLike Some Song You Can't Unlearn

So, Narcissa IS too good to be true! Interesting to see all the teachers shunning Harry, I'd think one or two would have the guts not to go along.

Now, now. Does your wife/girlfriend, assuming of course that you have at least one of them, wear make-up? Does that make her "too good to be true"? Narcissa is a woman, with all the insecurities and petty vanities that go along with that. Does that make her a bad person? No, not that anyway. As for the teachers, remember that you are seeing Harry's POV and interpretations. We haven't seen theirs yet. Thanks for reading. BJHLike Some Song You Can't Unlearn

Another outstanding update. The smut was great, but I think I liked Narcissa's simple truth even more. Hope to see Harry continue to confound the other Hogwarts professors.Author's response
The problem with simple truths is that life is rarely simple. Harry uses Dark magic so is he dark? Severus works for the leader of the light so is he light? Is Dumbledore? BJHLike Some Song You Can't Unlearn

This is a fantastic story. One of the best Harry goes to alternate reality fics out there. I'm serious. I find myself eagerly awaiting the next chapter. I hope that you are able to find the time to continue writing, because it would be a shame for you to stop writing. In most cases, I find myself enjoying the plot more than the writer's actual writing, leading to feelings of frustration and disappointment. But your writing, on the other hand, really is superb. Your characters are developing nicely and the things that happen in your story seem natural and follow a logical progression. One thing I would flesh out more is why Harry isn't trying to interact with his parents more. I feel like their relationship, or lack thereof, is very interesting. In cannon, Harry would be beyond ecstatic if presented with an opportunity to even talk to his parents. So this leads to one of two conclusions. Harry still harbors these feelings in his heart and is simply not acting on them. That leads to a question of why isn't he acting on them? The other conclusion is that Harry's past post-cannon was so traumatic that when offered a chance to get to interact with his parents, he not only chooses not to, but engages in activity that drives them away. Then the question becomes, what happened in his past? What could cause Harry to feel that way? I would hope for details on this. Furthermore, Harry has freed Sirius and and captured Peter and now he feels purposeless? I'm a little confused by Harry's existential crisis in this chapter. A response to any or all of these points would be appreciated. theform@gmail.comLike Some Song You Can't Unlearn
