Author's response

I don't mind bad reviews at all. I would much rather have a review like this than a review simply stating that they like my story.

Alright, let me try and help you understand. In WIFCICM Rose's parents die and it leaves a lot of negativity in her life. The pressure of having to live up to be a good step-in mother, a good friend, and also a good girlfriend gets to be too much for her. She wants to try and erase everything from her old life (before her parents died)that could do significant damage to her.

Now, let me explain why she said no to the proposal and also broke up with Gerard. Since the proposal was so soon after her parent's death she felt like he was using her current grieving state to her disadvantage. Basically, she worried that their love wasn't enough.

When she turns to Brendon for his help, she can't help but fall in love with him. I really wanted to create a twist in the story so it didn't seem cookie-cutterish. Which is why I didn't want Gerard and her to stay together. Because everyone expected them to. But at the same time, most of everyone expected Brendon to come into play somewhere down the road.

When Rose's sister, Lilly starts to act differently and has the confrontation with Rose and Gerard it is suppose to show that Rosemary isn't the only one being affected. Gerard's reaction is also suppose to show the same thing.

I can understand why you wouldn't find the story interesting or appealing anymore. If you don't like Panic! or Brendon's character, then why would you want to continue reading? I of course don't like losing readers but I understand if you move on to one of my other stories. I don't expect Gerard and Rose's relationship to become any less than difficult, with mixed emotions. So if you don't like Brendon's character, don't waist your time continuing this story. All I can say is that I apologize for losing your interest. After IJTF is completed, I'll be writing a new series from Eliza's POV. That will really just help show the relationship between father and daughter and also, begin her own story. If you like the "charming Gerard" I would recommend reading my other MCR fanfic, The Smell of Pure Fear.

I really feel that I need to state this, I was almost 13 when I began writing WIFCICM, I'm 15 now. The story has changed because I have changed. My maturity has changed, I have changed, my writing style has changed and advanced, and my ideas have changed remarkably from when I first got the idea for WIFCICM.

Thank you again for the review and I really hope this helped. If it didn't and there is anything that I could explain better, please do tell me.
