“You’ve got to say something to her,” Frank stated.
“What can I say? She’s leaving today; I can’t say anything to keep her here,” Gerard responded.
“But man…you love her. Don’t you?” Ray asked.
“Of course I do! I love her to bits! That’s why I have to let her go,” Gerard replied.
Mikey, Frank, Ray and Bob thought about it, and found that it makes sense with what he said.
“So are we going to go over to say our farewell now?” Mikey asked.
They all set off to Cayden’s place to say one last good-bye.
“Hey you guys made it,” Whitney said, as she saw them approaching up the front path.
“We all want to see our good friend one last time,” Mikey said.
There’s already a jeep parked on the sidewalk, Cayden’s friend---Nina’s parents are giving them both a ride.
“Where’s Cayden?” Gerard asked.
“She’s still inside the house, with Carla and Adelaide, and her parents,” Whitney replied.
A few minutes later, they all came out of the house, hugging each other out and saying good-bye to each other. The 5 boys walked up to Cayden, she turned and smiled at them.
“I thought you would never come.”
“We are here…why wouldn’t we be?” Ray stated.
“We will all miss you a lot,” Bob stated.
“Me too…I will definitely miss you all a lot too.”
They all hugged each other out in tight embraces.
“I love you all so much!” Cayden stated, on the brim of tears.
“We love you so much too!” the guys echoed.
After one big group embrace, Frank, Mikey, Ray and Bob walked off to leave Gerard and Cayden alone. They stood looking at each other for a few minutes of silence passed between them.
“Well, Cay…I am really happy for you,” Gerard stated.
She looked at him with her sparkling hazel eyes.
“You are?” Cayden asked.
“I am…I am very happy for you,” Gerard replied, holding her hands.
“I love you so much, Cayden,” Gerard stated.
She smiled up at him.
“I love you so much too, Gee.”
Without another word, they hugged each other out again. He kissed her cheek and down to the corner of her mouth.
“How long will you been gone for?” Gerard asked.
“4 to 5 years…give or take,” Cayden replied.
“I love you! I will miss you a lot!” Gerard stated loudly.
“I love you too! I’m missing you loads already,” Cayden responded, kissing him on the cheek.
“Until we meet again,” Cayden said.
