This is really interesting. I can't wait to see what's behind Harry's sudden change...and I love that Sirius supports him, unlike other "Harry changes into a more purebloodish person" stories.Harry Potter and the Lord's Lament

Oh, BTW, I rather suspect that gold flash that Harry & Sirius didn't notice is going to cause some folk, most likely the Dursleys and Dumbles, some great inconvenience in the future.Harry Potter and the Lord's Lament

Like the start of this though I'm dismayed at the way Hermione is a bit 2-dimensional, and though i can see where your steering this remember that Hermione stuck to Harry while almost all the rest of the school were against him with the exception of Neville and the twins.
Hope you can use hermione better as Harry discovers a rather odd Ravenclaw!

Nice start though other then Ron deseringly being 2-dimensional, Hermione does have a heart and cares for Harry though she can be single-minded. let her in slowly and she can be a great asset plus I can't see her and Ron really being together, its like mixing vinegar and water!
