  I don't always leave a review when I read something, but just know I'm following along here. You're doing a good job with the "build up". And I'm sure, Gerard's not dumb - he knows something's up with her - in addition, he's probably wrestling with his own feelings. I like that you had him actually say, "step father" - like he's just trying to reinforce it for himself as well as her. I could only imagine what a fucked up situation this would be in real life.

  This chapter was kick-ass. :D Gerard finally did something cute, like make her breakfast. And you can totally tell he's trying to keep in mind that he's only a step father. Can't wait to see what else is coming up. Toni is like my favorite off-scene character. Lol. She's just cool. :D
