This is a good story so far. I like where you left off at. I hope that Harry's true identity is soon revealed to James/Lily/Sirius. He might be able to heal a lot better if it is. Can't wait to see more.Like Some Song You Can't Unlearn

This was listed on DLP and I recall reading it in a pique of harry/narcissa interest, I'm very glad that I came back and finished it, superlative fic.Like Some Song You Can't Unlearn

Well done! Harry has successfully talked Ginny away from using the diary, without violence, but with an unexpected dividend. Ginny gets to destroy the horcrux. Definitely some personal satisfaction there!
I suspect Slughorne is going to be wetting himself in excitement if he ever learns of the indescribably valuable potions ingredients just waiting to be harvested in the chamber.
Oopsey! Harry forgot a little something. "Erm, sorry, Luna. I'm an arse."
Why is Poppy so incensed? Harry's note explained the boggart, she should understand that fear muse be faced. Harry's statement to Dumbledore seems to support this conclusion.
Sooner or later, Harry is going to have to tell Dumbles about the great honkin' snake in the basement.
Another fine chapter. I fear this story is nearing it's conclusion, but i will stay with you for as long as it takes.

Why on earth would I want to involve Slughorn in this story? What possible use would Hogwarts and Harry have for an experienced and qualified Potions Master, not to mention someone to head Slytherin House. They have Snivellus for that... Hmm, have you been reading my notes?
Poppy is incensed for the same reason most people don't like Harry: she sees him as a murderer and sexual despot. He killed a man in cold blood, the fact that he deserved it is irrelevant, and is bedding the widow, now he is dealing with children and dozens of them have been cursed while she was helpless to cure them.
And the story is about half done. Thanks for the review.

Well, I'm reviewing your story this way as the other method this website offers is a total piece of ass crumbly. I LOVE what you have managed to accomplish. The logic and reasoning Harry uses to dissect both the roll of government and dark magic was BRILLIANTLY played. None of the "Well, I can drop a brick onto your head with a levitation spell" bullshit that has never made a lick of sense for anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together. On behalf of everyone with a brain they are capable of using, I thank you from the bottom of my black, shriveled heart for giving the world a badass Harry Potter who is capable of using "evil" magic without becoming a nutjob or some pathetic, remorseful slob. I sincerely look forward to your future chapters.Like Some Song You Can't Unlearn

AWESOME!! I love the fic so far. It's so refreshing to see a fic where he's in an alternate dimension but doesn't connect with his parents. So many AU fics are like that, and I'm glad to see this is different.
Harry's a great teacher, it's cool to see him preaching philosophy to his students. I also love how he can pull off the whole 'righteous acts' thing as a teacher, especially with Luna and now Ginny. Narcissa was an interesting development and now Sirius is included? Curious... Oh, by the way, what ever happened to Neville? We've seen the rest of the gang, so where's he?
Thanks. Update sometime soon!?Like Some Song You Can't Unlearn

Okay, I read all 16 chapters before I would review. EXCELLENT!!!
Clever use of Odysseus--Harry is rather on a journey isn't he? It appears he's learning something about himself.
I LOVED how Sirius knew instantly who Odysseus Harris really was...and the denial, I think, has truly fallen on deaf ears. Sirius knows his Pup. I think it'll be Sirius Harry confesses to as a result.
Like George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life, Harry's had a unique--if a bit twisted--opportunity to see what the world would be like without him. He's also been given the oppportunity to put it right in this parallel reality.
The interesting thing is that enough of the events and attitudes are the same, which allows Harry to address the issues resulting from those attitudes. Dumbledore's refusal to face reality concerning Snape, the collective staff's failure to see the foul behavior of the students as it goes on right under their noses, and the injustices heaped on innocent people.
In this reality, I don't think Harry likes his parents too much. They appear to be as useless as the rest. I have to wonder, though, if that's going to change as Harry's relationship with Sirius develops. And where's Remus? Peter's captured, so the "true" Marauders are reunited. I expect Remus will re-enter the picture soon.
There's so much going on here. So much emotion, so much intrigue. While Harry was down in the Chamber dealing with Ginny, I'm sure it was all he could do to keep from playing the boyfriend card. He still retains his feelings for her from his own reality and has to fight them. He has to fight them with Hermione, reminding himself that THIS Hermione is innocent of the sins of HIS Hermione.
This Ginny doesn't know him as anything other than Professor Harris and neither do any of his other "friends." Even though HIS Ginny dumped him for Neville, he still loved her. So much so that he threw himself off the Astronomy Tower. I think he could take the rejection from the twins, Hermione, and Ron, and whoever else, but not Ginny. That tore his heart out and there was nothing left to live for. THIS Ginny dredges all those feelings up, whether he wants that or not. There's no denying one's love from someone else.
Harry grew up isolated, so he's used to it, but it doesn't make it any easier. It helps that he's finally making some inroads with the Hogwarts staff, but it's not enough. He was still betrayed in his reality and those memories are still there and they still hurt. They drive everything he does in this "new" reality he finds himself in and he has to make the best of it without drawing too much suspicion. But Sirius knows...
Great job! I'm excited to see more!
