  poor Gerard, is all i can say, he is giving up. he feels he has to go with the responsibility of family life (i'm sure Lynz is pregnant again!) but he still loves Frank, and he is throwing that all away! and the band goddamit! life is too short Gerard, you gotta do what you you feel in your heart!

  My brain is still whirling around this whole chapter, so much happened, and yet, not really that /much/, if you know what I mean.
  I think a lot of self discovery/understanding happened, and maybe not for the best...
  
  I don't like how it ended, it makes me nervous, and even though I'm an avid watcher of the show, you still make me nervous because I'm scared that you're going to simply make the story your own and I won't get my way, or, possibly worse, that you'll follow the storyline exactly and I STILL won't get what I want. :(
  
  I thought this line was kinda brilliant.
  "It was safe to say that by the time he stepped outside the airport and once again lit up his one and only life-line and breathed in its toxic fumes, that his spirits were substantially lifted."
  His one and only life-line...an interesting concept, since clearly, a cigarette is anything but a life-line, but the idea that it's something he needs, something he depends on, something he can rely on, well, like I said, kinda brilliant.
  
  I really can't wait for the next chapter. I'm very glad that you're back - I was a bit nervous that you might have simply given up on the story, which, honestly, would have been pretty devastating. I'm a big fan. :)

  Everythings falling apart isn't it...whilst also going in reverse. I completely understand that feeling of hopelessness, and the realisation that your future starts from here, and it isn't as pretty as you thought it would be.
  And Franks grown up? The inevitable occurred, and Gerard can't cope with it.
  The 'Famous Last Words' bit was brilliant, although it was odd when Lindsey snapped 'You shouldn't be listening to that' and I'm like 'Why the hell not?' Although she is trying to fix things between she and Frank, so perhaps she knows she's losing Gerard to his inner demons and longing for the past.
  As usual, brilliant chapter, probably your best one yet.

  i liked the ending, where you got to see the whole situation in Gerard's mindset.
