*Still Brendon’s POV*
We headed back to Monica’s a little bit later due to the fact that we were all freezing. I could no longer feel my fingers or toes. Once we were back to the guest house, we changed into some comfortable clothes before all piling into the living room with as many blankets as we could find. Katie and I were curled up together on this oversized chair trying to get warm. Her head was nuzzled against my neck. One of her hands was resting under my shirt on my bare stomach. She was telling Monica all about our band.
“Seriously I love going to their rehearsals. The energy is just amazing. Except when these two argue, which happens a lot. Then grams makes me bake with her all the time. Its awesome.” Katie said causing us to laugh.
“So what, are you like their groupie or something?” Monica asked
“No that involves having sex with a band member. I haven’t done that” Katie said.
“Yet” Both Monica and Ryan said. I could feel my own cheeks going red
“ you’re just jealous” Katie said as she snuggled closer to me.
“ so do you all have any demos or anything?” Monica asked
“yeah they are on my laptop. Be back. Ill go get it.” Ryan said as he got up. He returned a few minutes later.
“which song should we play?” Ryan asked
“ Boys will be boys” I said. Both Katie and I sung along while the song was playing. It was really hard to read the expression on Monica’s face. This was the first time anyone aside from grams and Katie heard the demos. I was kind of nervous on how she would react. Once the song was over we all just sat there, waiting for her reaction.
“holy fucking shit you guys are amazing!” she said all excitedly. We just kind of laughed at her.
“ I'm serious. You all should post your demos online somewhere. Myspace that shit or something” she said
“yeah Ry post them on Pete Wentz’s livejournal” Katie joked. Ryan was a tad bit fanboyish when it came to Pete Wentz.
“That’s actually not a bad idea” I said
“ bren you cant be serious” Ryan said
“No I am serious. Come on Ry. He could listen to it, love us and then sign us. Or he could listen, hate it, and that would be that but at least we would have tried.” I said
“ I think you should do it “ Monica said
“Ry you all are really good and that’s not me being biased. You guys are really talented” Katie said
“you really think we can pull this off?” he asked
“Yes!” the three of us said
“then lets do it” Ryan said. The girls helped us pick out which songs to post.
“ no we just wait” I said once Ryan hit the button to post our songs.
