A Fist Full of Galleons

Brad: Private citizens have an expectation of privacy; public figures do not. Harry's change in legal status resets his status. The Prophet can talk about the Boy-Who-Lived up through the TriWizard, but cannot impune the new Head of House Potter until such time as he does something to make him a public figure (like playing in a Quidditch match)
ladysavay: The Toad will be dealt with as the Visitor, but will be back. Will have to see if something bad can't happen to her later in the story. . . . And Draco will not have a happy story line!A Fist Full of Galleons

A reasonable Snape this time around? One who might be open to accepting change/improvement in Harry?
At this point in the story, he hasn't become irredeemable in his actions toward Harry so I can find it somewhat plausible that he might have a change in heart. We'll have to read more before we can make such a determination, though.A Fist Full of Galleons

I have to disagree with this attitude by the press. It is my opinion that athletes and other celebrities are private citizens. The only people who should be treated as public figures are officers of publicly traded corporations, elected government officials and officials appointed by them.
Unless you have a major role in the shaping of business or government you should be treated as a private citizen. However, the above people should have lives that are completely open books with the absolute minimum amount of privacy.A Fist Full of Galleons

MonCappy -- I agree with you, but the press doesn't, and the wizarding press seems to express the worst attitudes of the Muggle press.
And it's not so much that Snape has a change of heart as, as I mentioned in the reviews in an earlier chapter, Snape is a remora who attaches himself to the biggest shark. He doesn't quite realize it yet, but Harry is now the biggest shark, and he's not afraid to bite.A Fist Full of Galleons

- Nice one Doc.
- I like your hierarchy of status for this one. It seems that this might open all sorts of possibilities for completely legal mayhem...A Fist Full of Galleons

Another good chapter. Looking forward to Umbridge's take down. Loved the question about Dumbledore's wisdom.
Thanks for writing this.

It was indicated that Harry was receiving training to make him ready to fight Moldyshorts. Obviously he also received Instruction in British Magical World histories and mores.
I did not really understand the "head of house’ powers" until Draco stepped in it on the train. (BIG GRIN) I like it. And your description of Snape squirming, oh yes!
Thank you for a wonderful read. I look forward to seeing where you go with this, specially what is going to happen to Umbit ..uh.. Umbridge and what happens when Dumbledore tries to find a loophole in the agreement they signed. I am also interested in seeing what other training Harry might have received.
May the MUSE always be with you!!!

drifter: well, you can find out some of that in chapter 4, which is up, if you can find it! (doesn't seem to be listing yet. . . .)A Fist Full of Galleons

I almost preferred your version of handling Malfoy to mine. I can't think what movie reference that was but I could swear I have seen someone summarily dismissed in such a manner before.
In any case, YAY LUNA!
