A Fist Full of Galleons

Ron seemed a little more knowledgeable about things than I would have assumed.
Of course, maybe he had plans that required him knowing these things?
Ginny seems to be a non-entity which is to canon specs, and the bit with the twins was nicely done.
Snape is really not as smart as he fashions himself if he never understood Harry's behavior before this.
Thanks for writing,
MattA Fist Full of Galleons

The slapping of Draco by Harry reminds me of the Spegetti Western Classic "They call me Trinity" with Terrance Hill. Wish and hope more of that continues.
Love the Dirty harry-ish attitude Harrry has now and I can't wait til Umbutch tries his paitience!
I love this thing!

mathias -- re: Ron -- well, he did grow up within the culture; and he will sometimes say some very correct things which no one pays attention to, since it is so unexpected
dennis -- I know I saw something similar in at least one western, but I don't remember if it was 'Trinity' or not. Thanks for the hint!A Fist Full of Galleons

Very good part there, and impressive to see Snape a bit impressed by Harry and his manners, and nice to see the note that Harry was more ignorant than anything else concerning wizarding customs. Good to see the weay things went with Draco, though have to wonder, is he a true idiot, given that he's been raised pureblood, and still seems to not be able to keep from opening his big mouth, much the same as Ron.A Fist Full of Galleons

ecorate: Well, this should have at least 14 chapters, so more will be coming!
Wonderbee: Draco is always more certain to shoot his mouth off, even more than Ron!A Fist Full of Galleons

Nicely done. Not nearly long enough though. I was just getting my teeth in it when it ended. I hope you update very soon as I can't wait to see 'it' hit the fan when Malfoy doesn't get his way, Dumbles doesn't get the info he wants and when the Toad gets the news.A Fist Full of Galleons

Harry has been trained to look at details. . . .
Ah, yes, as was pointed out by one of the main characters in the Babylon 5 novel, "To Dream in the City of Sorrow", "If the devil is in the details then so too must be god." I rather expect Harry is going to find, by attention to detail, all sorts of interesting relationships and knowledge that'll help him. Too, as has been pointed out in my business (aerospace), attention to detail is necessary to prevent un-necessary casualties (Apollo 13 was the result of seveal lapses of attention to detail).A Fist Full of Galleons

A reasonable Snape this time around? One who might be open to accepting change/improvement in Harry?
Nice to see Luna turn up! She was a bit less 'weird' this time around though. I was pleased that you had her eyeing Ron, since she did seem to have a crush on him in at least OotP.
I was lost with the paragraph starting "And when I lodge my complaint against him ..." and ending with Ron's comment about the Quidditch scores. "new status gives me protection unless I actually do something"?!?!?? notification / reporting quidditch scores?
I liked Harry noticing the more friendly Slytherins; very good. He shouldn't do a Rowling and treat all of that House as bad guys.
