Saeth whirled, parried and reposted with one thought echoing in his mind.
Revenge
Revenge for Sarah – from the people of Dref at 'r Aig – from his honor – for his life back. Tryblith had stolen it from him in one swoop and now he was getting it back.
Revenge
Revenge was a double bladed knife. It could tip both ways. The way of morals, or fall by the waysides into darkness. I can’t let that happen. He thought as he swept his blade around his neck to parry Tryblith’s blow to his leg. This isn’t the time to do this. He snarled, angry with himself, The Allu is in trouble and I am dealing with my own petty squabbling.
Revenge
I need to go. He thought as he front flipped over Tryblith and pivoted in mid-air thrashing his sward down intending to cleave Tryblith’s head off his shoulders. But I don’t want to. He realized as angled his sword downwards to block a thrust, I like doing this – but why? He asked as he twirled his sword in and eight motion trying to disarm Tryblith, does that make me a bad person.
Revenge
I do not like who I am becoming. He said and experienced a moment of breathless and poignant clarity. It was as if a portal had opened up in time. A moment for him. For him to experience that he was wasting his life trying to revenge for dead. I haven’t even experience morning for Sarah. He realized as she dropped down into an ankle sweep. I need to do that. Lay her spirit to rest and then – oh yes Tryblith – then I will kill you.
Revenge
I will no longer try to avenge Sarah. He decided the revelation still in his mind; I will get my honor back. He smiled, he felt freer – lighter – almost as if a great weight had been lifter off of his shoulders. Marveling at this newfound lightness he laughed, the sound reverberating off of the street.
Tryblith snarled and said, “I don’t have time for you now but believe me – I will have revenge. Remember, a ewyllysi at 'm brawd achos na chennym ewyllysia bob amser bod rhyddha chanddi. Rhyddha chan brofedigaeth rhyddha 'n fywydol.” With that he howled and ran away.
Saeth stared after him for a moment before starting to run. Briddor and the Allu need me, He thought as he ran, and I won’t fail them – not again – I won’t fail again. With hope in his heart, Saeth ran to confront his destiny. Barhawn, He thought and laughed as the feeling of hope hugged his heart for the first time in two-hundred years.
