Time of Dying:

On the ground I lay, motionless in pain, I can see my life flashing before my eyes. Did I fall asleep? Is this all a dream? Wake me up! I'm living a nightmare!

I was in a purely black place. At first I enjoyed the aloneness, the emptiness, but I realised quickly that this was not the alone I wished for. I didn't want to be in the dark! I didn't want to be alone!
The black pressed in on me tighter as my soundless scream faded.

I will not die! (I will not die!)
I will survive!

I couldn't escape this! I was helpless! I was immobile! I couldn't move, couldn't think, I was empty. Yet, not.

I will not die, I wait here for you.
I feel alive when your beside me.
I will not die, I wait here for you.
In my time of dying.

"Alex! Alex! Wake up!"
The voice was getting louder, uncomfortable. I wished it would all go away! The pain, the noise! Wait. Pain? Noise? Death is supposed to be peaceful. Then why did I hurt?
"Alex please? Fight this!"
I didn't recognise the voice... Did I?
Oh, I must have died and gone to heaven!
How else could Adam Gontier, lead singer of Three Days Grace, be talking to me? Besides, were this real, I would be in Canada, in cottage country, where he was.
"Alex! Don't give up! I know you can make it!"
He sounded angry, I couldn't make him angry. I had to fight!
"That's it." His voice was quieter now, fading. "Keep going! Stay alive. For me."
"I will Adam, I will."

A Week Later...

On this bed I lay, losing everything, I can see my life passing me by. Was it all to much or just not enough? Wake me up! I'm living a nightmare!

I was no longer cold.
There were sheets covering me. A strong smell of antiseptic in the air.
My eyes opened vaguely. I saw shapes but they didn't make any sense. What looked like people wold come to my bedside, check something and then leave again. I gave up trying to understand.

I will not die, I wait here for you.
I feel alive when your beside me.
I will not die, I wait here for you,.
In my time of dying.

When I next opened my eyes, things made more sense but they were absolutely frightning!
The room was in was dark and unfamiliar. Thngs were flshing and beeping loudly around me and when I tried to move I felt restraints on my ankles, neck and wrist's.
My body s covered in a single white sheet. I was freezing cold!
I opened my mouth scream but only a small moan came out.

I will not die! (I will not die!)
I will survive!
