Chapter 8- This is just another filler. Nothing really interesting happens.

Eva once again could not sleep and she knew the morning would pay her back for it. Her pillows were drenched and her heart was knotted so much. She could see her guitar in the dim light and wanted to vomit. An object she hadn’t picked up for years because once again she couldn’t listen to herself but rather what other people had to say.

It was so difficult to describe Eva because it felt almost as if no one could walk in her shoes and that her problems seemed miniscule to the rest of the world, but what people failed to realise was that a battle with yourself was one of the biggest problems.

She crept out of her room, a feat she never accomplished without getting caught, but tonight she did it. She walked through the back door and through her split level back yard. She reached a grassy area and lay on her knees. It was a full moon.

“No wonder I’ve been acting like a wolf...” Eva thought. It was at that moment Eva began crying and crying. She let everything out. She thought about the constant bullying, the days the girls from her old school stole her diary and photocopied it, the day she found out her real father died, the day she moved schools, the endless days her step father made her feel useless, and the facade she carried around. The list was endless.

She threw her hands up to the air. “FOR GOD SAKES- LET ME BE NORMAL! LET ME BE WHO I WAS!?” She creamed it out sweat coming of her face, her lungs closing up and water smeared all over face. Her mother and step dad ran out.

“What is wrong?” said her Mum panicking. To Eva’s Mum, this was the point where Eva had cracked. She was so used to the endless days where Eva came home and cried and wouldn’t talk. She had watched her daughter turn into an evil ghost.

“This is not normal Eva, stop it!” screamed her mother starting to hit her. Her step-father pulled Karen off Eva. Eva just continued crying as if she had snapped and needed to be taken to a mental institution. A neighbour had run into his yard and jumped their fence to see what had happened.

They had never seen him before, and while Eva continued to cry, Karen and Eva’s step-dad tried to justify the situation.

“I don’t want your explanations,” he said. His face was dark, and his hair unruly. “Get her inside. It is the best you can do at this point. No one should be out here.”

They carried her inside looking back at the stranger.

The night had eventually taken a halt and Eva had fallen asleep. It was the weekend- perfect timing for a breakdown. Eva was still asleep at 10 in the morning. It was almost as if the events of last night were the final straw for Eva. She had spent so much time crying tears over things that weren’t worth it. It was time to change.

Over the weekend, Eva slowly made progress to becoming the person she was before. Every time she had something nasty to say she would quickly find something positive. She even read over her old song lyrics, and even picked up her guitar for five minutes before hastily putting it down again.

Her mother and her had a spiritual cleanse to wash away all the “bad auras”, and eventually they decided to go shopping. Eva hated shopping, but loved her Mum so she always did what she wanted- a bit too much sometimes.

Eva’s Mum, Karen was called a MILF because she looked twenty years younger than her age, and looked more like Eva’s sister.

Weekends were Eva’s favourite because although she was self conscious still, she was so different from the person she was in school.

Eva put on a tight white top and ripped jeans that hugged her figure perfectly. Her hair was down, and she applied her makeup and ended the ensemble with white heels. Although Eva couldn’t see it, she looked gorgeous. No one would recognise her from school until their second look.
Eva and Karen walked down the escalators, and decided for coffee at their favourite coffee shop.
They walked in and ordered their usual order and sat down. There was a dark haired man with glasses on and a newspaper in his hands in the furthest corner and Eva did not notice. His disguise was working. Although he instantly noticed her.

He had seen her three times today, first time in the bookstore, her reading some classics. Secondly in the music store, her checking out some punk CD’s, and thirdly in the coffee store with what must have been her very young looking mother- since he knew she had no siblings. It was a surprise she did not notice him since every other person her age seemed to. The news was spreading about Gerard Way's arrival to Sydney, Australia.

Monday came quickly, and Eva felt like a new person with only a little pain to remind her about what she had to do. She even managed to catch the bus with Liza and discuss through everything that had happened.

Eva did not know this, and rarely did anyone else, but Liza envied Eva. It was almost as if her job was to make Eva feel worse about herself because Eva was the type of girl you didn’t want thinking she was great. Everything was always about Eva, and Liza needed to feel wanted- a mix that clashed. Strangely, Liza knew how to make Eva tick- a power that could destroy Eva.

“I really appreciate you as a friend,” began Eva. “I think you are amazing in so many ways, and you know that. I love you, and I am sorry about the way I have become lately. This seems like the hundreth apology this week.” Handing her some chocolate. Gerard Way was right, Eva wasn't very good at apologies.

“It’s not your fault, people fuck you round,” said Liza.

The bus had eventually stopped at the front of the school and they both walked.

“Do you wanna come with me to see Mr. Way?” asked Liza innocently.

“Sure!” Eva said normally pretending it was all OK and that he was just another teacher. “Why do you need to see him?”

“Uh...” said Liza. “I need to talk to him about my art project.”

“Cool!” said Eva. “How is that going?”

“Meh,” said Liza. Liza just wanted to see Eva's reaction which wasn't what she expected.

They had climbed the stairs and eventually knocked on the door. They entered and when Mr. Way spotted Liza he quickly got out of his chair and ushered them outside. He looked over Eva and then stood with them.

“Mr. Way,” began Liza. “Did you mark my essay?” Liza wasn’t very good at the theory side of things so Eva had started to help writing her essays.

“Yeah!” he said. “That was the best essay in the lot again!”

Liza and Mr. Way continued on talking about the lesson that would happen today, and Eva stood there smiling, pretending she was happy standing there.

Mr. Way eventually went inside the staffroom and Liza turned to Eva and said-
“Thank you so much for always doing my art essays. I have no idea about writing.”

“Hey, what are friends for?” said Eva and the continued walking.

“Hey Liza,” said someone from behind. It was Mr. Way. A leap took over their hearts wondering if he had heard any part of their conversation.

“Here’s your essay,” he said monotonously and he walked away while Eva and Liza stared at the large A on the front of the essay. Questions were running through their head.

“Did he sign it?!” said Eva trying to ease the situation. “We could sell it and make money!”

“Eva, shut up! Do you think he heard!?” screamed Liza.

“Nah!” said Eva. “But if he did, here’s the story...”
