Chapter 13- Hello to my wonderful readers. I hate Liza too. Eva FTW. Haha.
Eva heart was contracting. She was sure her knees would begin to give out any moment but she held her head high and her heart steady. She didn’t know where to go, or who to talk too. She was questioning that last image in her head trying to figure out what it really was. Was it a staring competition or something more? She couldn’t trust Liza or Mr. Way for the true answer. She decided that she would rather head to class and pursue her own life rather than worry about some pathetic man and some bitchy friend. After all, Eva was going to be the most successful rock star in the world and then she wouldn’t care about a pathetic Gerard Way and his stupid mistress Liza. His poor, stupid wife. Poor Eva.
Liza couldn’t concentrate in her Extension English class. They were left to continue their major works, but Eva’s mind was elsewhere. So much for trying to pursue her own life. It wasn’t until 20 minutes into the lesson a knock at the door stopped the whole class.
“Hello, can I please see Eva for a while?” said Mr. Way to Mr. Fried. Eva felt like vomiting right there and then.
“Be my guest, but bring her back in one piece,” joked the ancient Mr. Fried.
Eva got out of her chair unsteadily but trying to act normally. She walked towards the shell shocked Mr. Way and felt a bit of happiness that she had shook him that much. Not the way she had dreamt about in her sexual desires, but in reality it was pretty good.
“We’ll go for a walk,” said Mr. Way awkwardly beginning to walk prompting for Eva to walk along with him.
“If you don’t mind Sir, I would prefer if we stayed here, I have a lot of work to do,” said Eva innocently but also lying through her teeth. Mr. Way just stopped uneasily and stood there.
“Well, I just wanted to see how you were, Eva” said Mr. Way avoiding what he wanted to really say.
“I’m fine, Mr. Way, Is that all you wanted to ask? You saw me at lunch- you know I’m fine,” said Eva beginning to turn back to go into class.
“Oh, well.” He began. “It just seemed like you weren’t fine.” Eva wanted to smack him right in the face when he said that. She knew her fist print would look splendid in between his hazel eyes.
“Mr. Way,” said Eva a bit impatiently. “You know, I’m fine. If this is about you and Liza just know I’m not the type of person to go and tell others things I see. I can keep secrets, Mr Way. If you and Liza have something going on and you guys text and do dirty things behind closed doors that is no one’s business, so don’t worry. I will not ‘dob’ you in. But please, do not drag me out of class to talk to me about how I am when really you couldn’t give a shit and only want to see whether or not I will tell anyone about your sexual liaisons with my friend.”
Mr. Way was shocked that Eva had said that, but for once Eva wasn’t. She was so sick of his pathetic face she wanted to go on the internet and tell every fan girl what a looser he was.
“Eva!” said Mr. Way incredulously. Eva did not change her facial expression from the rather solemn and irritated one she had on. “I am not having sexual liaisons with Liza. What gives you that idea?”
Eva laughed. Really laughed. She laughed so much not only did she have tears in her eyes but also was beginning to scare Mr. Way. No wonder people at school called her bipolar.
“Mr. Way,” Eva stifled through laughs. “I may be a lot of things, but stupid is not one of them. If you and Liza had nothing going on, you wouldn’t be here trying to justify your actions. I know you and Liza text, and I know that you spend too much time with her and I certainly know that what happened at lunch was not a staring competition.”
Mr. Way didn’t know what to say.
“Eva,” he said quietly. “Yes, we do text. But I am not fascinated in Liza one bit.”
“Mr Way,” whispered Eva. “I do not have time for this, and I do not need you to stand here and convince me. Whatever I believe in, your secret and this conversation is between you and me... oh and of course Liza, because I assure you will run and tell her how your relationship is safe...”
Eva!” Mr. Way interrupted. “As your teacher, this is completely inappropriate.”
“Mr. Way,” said Eva smugly. “A lot of things are inappropriate, but I think we can make a few exceptions about my behaviour considering I am for you. I’ll see you in legal.” Eva gave one last smile to Mr. Way’s speechless face before turning on her heel and beginning to walk back in class.
“Eva?” said Mr. Way one last time. Eva stopped but did not turn around to look at him. “You’re beyond wrong, you know?”
Eva just walked into class.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
Eva had no parents to go home too, but her mother would ring. She had called the school to pay for Eva’s legal camp, which Eva got annoyed about because she didn’t want to go and spend a whole couple of days with Mr. Way.
Eva made a stir-fry before retiring on the couch to watch a few of her favourite serials. After she had eaten and washed up she decided she would rather go on the net. As she checked her emails there was one from Liza. Eva’s heart skipped two beats.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!” screamed Eva. She wanted to reply so much, but knew that Liza was waiting for an angry reply so she decided for a simple polite one.
She knew that would piss Liza off. She had decided that Liza was out to get her, and in order to keep undercover she needed to pretend she didn’t know and that Liza could do nothing to break her down. Eva swallowed her fear and surfed the web hoping to forget the revelations. Within half an hour she received another email from Liza."""
See you tomorrow.

Eva caught an earlier bus to avoid Liza. “Stupid fat bitch” was the only thing that Eva had in her mind whenever Liza’s face popped up. Legal was first period today and although Eva was a bit nervous about it, she convinced herself otherwise knowing she had the upper hand.
When Eva walked into class she did not look at Mr. Way but rather sat in her seat while he looked at her nervous as all hell.
“Umm, Eva, we are in the library again researching,” said Mr. Way testing the waters. Eva merely nodded and headed to the library.
Once everyone in class had settled in the library Mr. Way resumed his usual seat entranced in some papers.
At about 40 minutes till the end of the lesson Eva saw Liza quietly walk into the library and spot Mr. Way. He saw her and quickly ushered her outside looking around to see if anyone had seen. Eva hid behind her computer screen acting as if she hadn’t seen anything. When Mr. Way and Liza walked around a corner Eva got out of her chair and put on her best spy skills.
She crept up to the area where they were and prompted to hear the conversation. She felt lousy doing it, but ever since Mr. Way had come to the school, her character had changed into an obsessive mess.
Sure enough there was a heated conversation behind the wall. Eva leaned closer to hear.
“What are you doing here?!” said Mr. Way quietly but violently. “You’re lucky she didn’t notice us come behind here!”
“I had to see you about yesterday,” said Liza helplessly.
“Liza, look, I told you from the beginning I am not attracted to you. I have just gone through a serious separation with my wife, and you are my student,” said Mr. Way in retaliation.
“It’s cause I’m not pretty enough, isn’t it? Why do you text me if you don’t like me?” said Liza hurt.
“It’s nothing to do with your looks, its just that this whole situation is ridiculous! I admire your talents as an artist, not in any other way! Why did you get that impression!? Plus, I only gave you my number because you are a senior undertaking your final year and may need my help- and considering all you told me about how bad your family life is, I wanted you to text me if anything dangerous happened at home- that is all!” he clarified further.
‘Stop it! You looked me in the eyes yesterday before she walked in, and although you told me you didn’t want to be with me, I could see it in your eyes! I need you to like me! I need to destroy Eva!” said Liza desperately.
“LIZA! Listen to yourself! What is it with you and Eva!? She is a nice girl, but she hates me know because she seems to think I’m sleeping with you, and I can’t convince her otherwise because then I would have to tell her about all you told me about your family life, and I don’t want any more trouble for you! That’s what is stopping me from telling the school!” said Mr. Way assertively but desperately like he needed to convince a murderer not to kill him.
“YOU LOVE HER!” said Liza. “I knew it! ‘Eva is a nice girl!’ What is it with everyone secretely liking her!?”
“Stop it now, Liza,” said Mr. Way. “I warn you now. If this continues, I will tell the school and that is final. I don’t want to do it, because I consider you a great student, but I will do it if it means I don’t have to deal with this.”
Eva could tell the conversation was over, and knew she had to run back to her seat or Mr. Way would turn the corner and see her. She heard what she thought as Liza storm off in the opposite direction and was about to turn when Mr. Way turned the corner and saw Eva standing there shocked. Mr. Way’s face looked as if it would kill Eva right there and then.

Dear Eva,
Stop over reacting. Some days I hate you so much. You’re just jealous that he likes me and thinks you are a bitch.
Liza.

Hey Liza,
You’re right. Sorry you hate me and he thinks I’m a bitch. I guess I bring that on myself sometimes. No, I am not jealous, just having a bad day- as usual. See you at school tomorrow. Just so busy at the moment!
