Mate, another excellent read. Loved the result of the attack on Amelia. While I was reading this chapter , I received an email from NASA stating that Spitzer had found Buckyballs in space for the first time in a far away galaxy (ridgy didge). Harry & Macks spar reminded of Luke & Darth. Loved the little bit of evilness starting to appear in Dobby. Cheers.

G'day, mate!
The botched attack was actually a one shot, I wrote some time ago, but it was just too much fun to leave lying.
How is it possible for any telescope, no matter how powerful, to detect a molecule some thirty nanometers across, hundreds of gazillions of light years away? However, I first read of Buckyballs in a short story by Greg Bear(I think), when I was in the navy.
Harry/Mack: Not intended. basically it was meant to give the students a motivation boost...and advance Mack to the next form.
Awww! Dobby ain't evil, he's jus' misunderstood, is all!
Ta.

I love the story, And I was wondering if you are turning Voldemort into a potions addict on purpose. And what will happen if Harry decides to kill snape. Will he sit in a corner shivering and talking to himself cursing Harry one minute then saying 'I just need a little potion, I don't have a problem, I can quit when ever I want'. And if you do decide to add another witch could it be the under used Su Li?Author's response
I'm glad you're having fun.
Actually, I am. Teresa gave me the idea, and I decided to run with it. An addicted Voldy does things he normally would not. that can be taken advantage of. I intend to see that every time he strikes out, he draws back a bleeding mitt.
While he won't be sitting in the corner, he will begin to rant on occasion, blame Harry, Dumbledore, the Ministry and his Deez alternately for all his problems, talk to Nagini, and jump at shadows.
He won't be given much motivation as to quitting, because he tends to torture those who annoy him.
Su Li is part of the group of students but I'm not familiar enough with the character even in fanon to write her properly. I'll need some intensive study before I can do her justice.

Next Chapter please! Its been about 2 weeks.Author's response
Sorry, people. RL has been a royal bitch lately. We're being sued by a collections agency, and that's never good. To make things just a little more interesting, I was finally able to get my new computer on-line, only to find out some of my chapters didn't make it across the divide.
Guess which one was at the head of the line.
I'm rewriting it from memory.
It'll be up as soon as I make sure it isn't horrible.

One thought on re-reading; wouldn't lowering the height of one side of the desk by a whole inch be noticeable? I'd think it easier to hide a half or quarter that and still get the desired effect. On the other hand, if you could do it and properly hide it with a glamour, that'd have possiblities, too. You ahve to love the effects you can get with low-friction surface coatings.Author's response
Actually, no.
The normal water runoff slope on a regular floor is a quarter inch to one foot. (or one inch in four feet.) It's barely noticeable.
Now,he average office desk is five feet by three, and I cannot see Snape having any such mundane style desk. He'd want something a bit more ornate.
As for the legs, each section, would shrink only a few millimeters, so unless one was already aware of the likely cause, one would tend to miss it entirely.

hmm, Rapier huh? not my preferred blade, but i can see the usefulness and appeal. personally i prefer the Cutlass or a European Longsword.
i have a modicum of experience with both, and am a deft hand with several types of knives and daggers. although when i use the Longsword i typically have a shield of some kind on my other arm. many people talk about Kite shields, but i prefer a round shield or Targe. better balanced and it can be used as an improvised weapon in a pinch. Kite shields... likewise on the weapon aspect, but i find the balance to be...off.
i prefer the Cutlass when i am using just a blade with a free off hand.
anyways, thus far an interesting fic. and as this IS my first time reading it, i can safely say that i eagerly await what comes next. and as i have NOT read the next chapters yet, i can safely say that it should make for an interesting read.
