At first when we arrived I was scared of going in but then realised nobody would recognise me; so I walked in side as confidently as I could and once I was through the doors everybody was staring at me. Truth be told I wasn't expecting that reaction - I can see me doing something really stupid now everybody is looking. Before I could do anything stupid my mum grabbed my arm and pulled me towards our table where our seats were the only empty ones. I was seated next to the younger guy - just my luck.
"Donna! Donald How are you both tonight?" My mum greeted the couple giving them both one armed hugs.
"We're perfectly well, Alice. May we introduce our sons James." Donna replied. James nodded his head in greeting towards me and my mum.
"Pleasure to meet you James and this is my daughter Belle." My mother introduced me and I smiled out of curtsey - not because I wanted to.

After the dinner was served and small conversation was made; James and I were relatively quiet except when questions
were directed at us. After everybody had finished the three course meal James excused himself and disappeared outside.

James P.O.V.
Once I was outside I pulled my phone out for the tenth time since being here and rang the number again. After ten rings i heard her musical voice going, "Hi this is Iz, sorry I cant answer at the moment but leave a message and I’ll call you back." Then there was a beep and I left a message.
"Iz, it's Mikey. please answer I really want to talk to you, I'm missing you." somebody walked outside. "Anyway I’ve got to go but please please please ring me when you get this. Love you." I hung up and put my phone away.

The person who walked outside was now sat on a bench looking at the fountain.
"Nice night out don't you think?" I asked her; standing up and walking over to her,
"Yeah I suppose." Belle sighed softly. I sat next to her and looked at my phone again. "Am I that much of a bore you're checking to see how long of this nightmare you've got left?" She asked me.
"Something like that." I smiles at her, "no, I'm actually waiting - well, more like hoping for a call off somebody," I told her seriously.
"Oh, nice. Girlfriend? Or boyfriend maybe?" She asked wondering.
"Girlfriend. She's not answering her phone." I told her.
"Ouch, unlucky. How long you been together?" was she making small talk or was she genuinely interested?
"About a month, give or take a few days." I replied honestly.
"You don't know how long you've been together?" she sounded appalled.
"I'm not like girls knowing exactly how long right down to the second," I accused.
"Not all girls are that bad! I only know down to the day in my relationship." She told me.
"Go on then. How long have you and your boyfriend been together for?" I asked her.
"How do you know I don't have a girlfriend?" she smiled. "Three weeks today I've been with him." she answered
"Cute, but yet you'd rather be here than with him?" I asked. The smile disappeared while she replied,
"actually I didn't have much choice in the matter, I'd been told - not asked, told - I was coming tonight. it didn’t matter if I came or not tonight anyway seen as though he's busy." She sighed once she'd finished speaking.
"is there something more to that story?" I asked without realising.
Just as she was about to reply I heard my father's voice behind us going, "Donna and Alice are looking for you two. By the sounds of it they want you to dance together." My father seems amused by the whole evening.
"Thanks for telling us." I tell him and as soon as he'd disappeared I turned towards Belle and asked, "may I have this dance?"

Iz's P.O.V.
I don't know what made me say yes to him but I did and it's safe to say yes to him but I did and it's safe to say I'm not regretting it yet. James is an excellent dancer whereas I'm not so instead of doing all the fancy dancing like everybody else we're standing at the side swaying in time to the music. When James first put his arms round my waist I instantly though of how Mikey hasn't done this yet, but I pushed to thought away and put my hands on his shoulders. "Do you think it'd be bad of we started talking about our boyfriend and girlfriend again while we're dancing?" James suddenly asked.
"I don’t think so but that's just my opinion." I replied looking up at him.
"Good neither do I. the only reason I asked is because I was wondering if you'd carry on with what you were about to say." James explained.
"I was actually about to say that I didn't want to talk about it. anyway you've not told me anything about your girlfriend, what's she like?" I asked him.
"well, to be honest, she's everything I want and more but I don't know how to tell or show her this is how I feel. I know I lover her; but it's just proving it to her without my friend calling me a 'Hopeless Romantic'." He told me.
"You know I meant tell me what she looks like? But never mind, it sounds like you need help. Lesson number one never take what your friends to heart they're jealous. Lesson number two the simplest of things you can do make a huge difference. Lesson number three treat her every now and again - it doesn’t have to be buying her something she wants - maybe start with something small like cinema tickets. Lesson number four remember to compliment her or if she asks for your opinion and you don’t like it much suggest something that'd be better. Lesson number five always be there for her no matter what mood she's in - just be there to make her smile again. Oh be careful of mood swings." I told him the five basic rules and felt genuinely happy for the first time that night.
"Thanks for that but anyway please tell me what's going on between you and your boyfriend. You never know I might be able to help you." He replied.
I took my time trying to figure out how to say it without sounding evil. "Don't judge me even though I know this will make me sound like a cold-heated cow, but I'm not sure if I actually love him." I explained the whole problem to him.
"in my opinion I say talk to him. I know if my girlfriend told me I'd let her go, just like in the saying 'if you love them, let them go'. That's just my opinion though." He advised me.
"Yeah, I'll talk to him about it." I looked up at him smiling and then the next thing I knew we were kissing each other on the dance floor.
