Emily bathed and dressed Zach, making sure he looked perfect, Emily placed Zach on her bed as she grabbed her black skinny jeans and a singlet top and started to get changed, Gerard smiled as Emily wiggled her jeans on

“Zach looks adorable” he said, Emily looked up as she buttoned her pants, she smiled

“Yeah, he looks like a mini you when I put a black shirt on him” she replied as she slid the singlet top on, Gerard walked over to Emily and brushed his hands down her waist, slowly curving to her ass and squeezed

“I spoke to a celebrant today and he says this Saturday is free” he said, Emily nodded as she pulled away and grabbed a jacket and slowly put it on

“I will be there” she said as she collected Zach, Gerard sighed

“You better be, My lawyers have contacted yours and are ready for when you don’t turn up to start the custody application” he said, Emily looked up and froze

“Gerard, I am here obeying all your rules and demands” she spat

“How dare you do this to me?”
Gerard looked at her

“Because I know what you’re thinking, you don’t want to be here do you” he said, Emily snuggled into Zach

“Why the hell do I want to be here when there is no love at all” she said and took a few steps to the door, Gerard punched the bed

“Why does everything have to be about fucking love” he said loudly, Emily sighed

“You will see in a few years after we are married, when you’re away and I am a lonely housewife waiting for someone to come and rescue me” she spat and walked out of the room.
Emily placed Zach in his high chair as everyone sat down to eat, Gerard looked at Emily as he sat down next to her, and Frank sat opposite Emily

“You okay Emily?” he asked, Emily looked up and shook her head

“I am not fucking okay Frank” she replied as Gerard stiffened, He took her hand which Emily pulled a away

“I would like to thank everyone here tonight on our record signing” said Mikey as he stood up smiling, No one had heard except Frank and Gerard, Emily looked at Zach and gave him some chicken and salad

“To the future and sharing the future with people you love” said Mikey as he raised his glass, Emily frowned as she heard the clinks from the glasses, Gerard touched her leg

“So how has things been for the lovely couple?” asked Alicia, Emily looked in her direction

“Everything is good, couldn’t ask for a better last few days” said Emily, Gerard squeezed her thigh

“We need to work this out sooner rather than later” he said softly, Emily still looking at Alicia smiled

“Ohhh I find that we have said all we have had too Gee, let us enjoy our night” she replied as she took a piece of tomato and popped it into her mouth.

When the guests had left, Emily carried a half asleep Zach to his bed and then made her way to their bedroom, Gerard was sitting on the bed as she entered the room, he looked up as Emily walked over to her side of the bed, Emily undressed and put on a her pyjamas and slid into bed

Gerard sighed

“Do you like Ben?” he asked, Emily stiffened

“Are you serious?” she asked, Gerard nodded

“Yes I am, I don’t want my wife to be flirting with other men, you belong to me Emily, no one else” he said

“Ben is my boss Gerard, Nothing happened nothing will happen end of story” she spat, Gerard grabbed her shoulders and pressed them hard on the bed

“I mean it Emily, No other men but me, you break that rule and I will take Zach away from you” he said, Emily felt the tears flowing down her cheeks

“There won’t be anyone else” she whispered as she rolled on her side and closed her eyes

“Goodnight Emily” he said as he slid into the bed, Emily nodded

“Night” she replied as she turned away from him and closed her eyes


Emily woke up to find her bed empty, she quickly slid out of bed and ran to Zach’s room, Panic flooded through her when she saw the bed empty, Emily took a deep breath and ran down the stairs as quick as she could, she stopped when she heard Gerard talking softly, catching her breath she slowly opened the door and looked at Gerard talking to Zach, she took a deep breath

“Good Morning” she said softly, Gerard jumped and turned to face her

“Sorry I didn’t mean to wake you” he said, Emily shook her head

“No foul done” she replied, Zach looked up and smiled

“Has Zach had breakfast?” asked Emily, Gerard nodded

“Yes he had banana, yogurt and some toast” he said, Emily smiled as she walked out to the kitchen, Gerard got up and followed her

“Were getting married today” he said, Emily gulped down her mouthful of coffee and stared

“I thought you said next week sometime” she said, Gerard shrugged

“It will take only an hour to do it, so I thought why the hell not” he said, Emily nodded as she took another sip of her coffee

“Gerard, I am not sure about this” she said softly, Gerard walked over to her and grabbed her hands

“Emily, I can’t give you love but I can support you and Zach, I will be there for when its Zach’s first day of school and when he gets his first girlfriend” he said, Emily flinched

“What about us?” she asked, Gerard cupped her cheeks and lifter her head so her eyes were looking at his

“We will be fine, we will be happy and grow old together” he said, Emily blinked slowly and took a deep breath

“What time Gerard?” she asked, He looked at her

“Whenever you want to get dressed, but if you want to go like that, I am not stopping you” he grinned as he saw how his shirt cling to all her curves, Emily shook her head

“I will change, just give me a moment to get myself together” she replied as Emily took another sip and ran up to the bedroom.
