Brendon was leading Ryan down an almost abandoned street. Something extremely rare for any street in Vegas. He hadn't told Ryan a single thing since he woke him up that morning, in fact, the only thing he said was "Get up and take a shower, we've got a lot to do today." And that was right after he had woken Ryan up by throwing a towel at him. So instead they walked in silence down the street. And Ryan couldn't help but notice how nervous Brendon was acting.
After about an hour of walking Brendon lead Ryan to a windowless building, and Ryan felt chills crawl up his spine from looking at it. It reminded him a lot of the type of place he used to work at, and that did not make him feel too comfortable. Brendon paused when he got to the door, giving a small sigh as he looked at Ryan. He gave the older male a weak smile.
"Ryan, can you promise me something?" Brendon asked, his hand on the knob of the door ready to open it. Ryan nodded cautiously, curious to know what it was he was promising. "When we get in there, there will be some...odd people. And there might be some people that work with or against your father. I can't really say. All I want you to promise me, is to not talk to anyone until I tell you to. Can you do that for me?" Ryan nodded again, a sense of dread filling him as Brendon opened the door. He let Ryan walk in first, directing him to the back of the dark place.
The whole place seemed to be lit only by a few dim light fixtures. It seemed a lot like a good place to gamble, plenty of tables set up with people crowded around them, cards and dice placed in an odd fashion at each table. There was a long bar on the left wall, taking up just about all of the space. And when Brendon said that there were odd people in there, he was not kidding. It looked almost as if there was a miniature freak show in just the main room alone. To add to that there were plenty of men and women dressed in expensive dresses and fancy suits. It made Ryan feel somewhat inadequate in Brendon's small -yet to big for him- clothing. Brendon lead Ryan to the back where there was a door.
There was a tall girl standing in front of the door, watching to make sure other people couldn't come in. She looked....odd. Like most of the other people in the small building. With long dark brown hair, and tight fitting black leather to show off her figure. She had pale skin that almost seemed grey in the light, and probably the oddest thing about her, was her big pink eyes. They seemed to catch the light and reflect it back, making them shine and practically glow. She smiled when she saw Brendon, her pale pink lips tugging at the corners to show how pleased she was to see him.
"Brendon, good to see you again." She said giving him a small hug, he hugged her back and seemed even more nervous than earlier, making Ryan wonder just what it was behind that door that he was so nervous to see.
"Good to see you too Luna. Do you think you could have the kids take care of my friend here while I talk to Eric?" She nodded at Brendon's request, calling over a short boy who had naturally bright red hair. Brendon bent down and whispered in Ryan's ear. "Don't talk to anyone other than Jerome until you get to a room with a closed door. Okay?" Ryan nodded, though he really didn't want to leave Brendon's side.
"Okay." Ryan said defeated and the red haired boy took his hand, leading him off to a different corner of the room that had a curtain on it. The last thing Ryan saw was Brendon walking into the room before the door slammed shut and the girl with pink eyes went back to guarding it. Ryan took a look at the boy that was leading him past the curtain and down a long hallway filled with objects that could only belong in a freak show.
He had reddish brown eyes that seemed just a little bit darker than his hair, and he had black half moons painted at the corners of both of his eyes, one of them having a crimson red tear drop coming off of it. His lips were an odd color of pinkish grey, making them seem almost purple. He was wearing a white long sleeved shirt that had frills from it's collar and the bottom of the sleeves, a black jacket overlapping it. He had red and black striped puffy shorts that looked like silk, and black stalkings under them. He had boots that went halfway up his calf, chains crisscrossing a single boot with multiple stars hanging off of the drooping chains. Ryan couldn't help but notice that he was stunning. The boy stopped in front of a door, holding out his hand awkwardly for Ryan to take. Ryan took it as he spoke his name.
"My name is Jerome." The young boy said.
"Ryan." Jerome opened the door, allowing Ryan to walk in.
"So how do you know Brendon?" There was a group of people inside, more than ten at least, with a fairly even ratio of boys to girls. Once again, Ryan found that they all looked like they belonged to a circus or some kind of freak show. They all looked up at Ryan, curiosity playing on each one of their features. One of the girls was the first to speak.
"Who's your friend Jerome?" Jerome shrugged.
"A friend of Brendon's." All of them got up from what they were doing, rushing over to Ryan. They pulled him into the room, sitting him in the middle of a circle as they all started bombarding him with questions.
"How do you know Brendon?" A boy asked with a large grin.
"Why are you so thin?" A girl with pink hair asked with a confused expression.
"Why is Brendon visiting and why isn't he here?" Another girl in green asked.
"Are you like Brendon?" All questions stopped as everyone looked over to the person who spoke it. Ryan felt himself becoming more and more confused with each passing second as he looked the boy who had asked the question over. He looked like he was the same age as Ryan, but he couldn't really tell. He was wearing a tight fitting red and black striped shirt that had one red and black sleeve on his left arm, and a black and blue stripes sleeve on the other. His right leg was red and black striped, while his left was blue and black. He was sitting with his legs crisscrossed, his hands resting on one of his ankles. He had long amber hair that went slightly past his shoulders, a single braid hanging in the locks. He was barefoot, something that Ryan found particularly odd, and was wearing a black choker around his neck, accenting his pale skin. Half of his face was painted with white, making it look like a mask which was outlined in black, three dots lining up under the corner of one of his eyes. He had one blue eye, and one brown eye, and the longer Ryan stared at him, the more confused he became.
"Awh, Lee! Why do you always come up with the good questions?" A boy with a black hood said. Ryan's brows furrowed and he frowned.
"What do you mean?" He asked completely confused.
"Are you like Brendon?"The teen named Lee repeated. Ryan shook his head.
"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about."
"You mean, you don't know?" A young boy with blond hair so light it was practically white asked.
"No." Ryan said still confused as fuck.
"I think we should tell him." A girl with ghostly pale skin said.
"Tell me what?" Ryan said as he started to panic.
"That your friend Brendon can manipulate objects with his mind." Lee said matter-of-factly. Ryan's heart stopped as he wondered whether or not he was telling the truth.
"What?" Ryan asked in disbelief.

The fact sphere is the most intelligent sphere. The fact sphere is the most handsome sphere. The fact sphere is incredibly handsome. The fact sphere is always right. The adventure sphere is a coward. The space sphere will never go into space. You will never go into space. Fact: Space dose not exist.
Great, got that out of the way, quickly! Onto responses to reviews.

I was pushed out of a car. On a highway. Over the top speed. By two people that I will now call my ex-friends. But that's a different story for another day.
I bet you can piece it together now. I have to admit, I dropped the ball in this chapter. I pretty much just paved the path for the last few chapters, and you now know just about everything that's probably going to happen.
And it's a good thing, because I know you read my new story Demigod, and when I finish this story, I will start working on that one. Which will be SO MUCH FUN. For me at least.
marissasorrentino:
I am back! Yay. I hope this was soon enough, I tried. I tried to make it longer and get it finished and published faster, but it was just...eh, I don't know. It just was.
Katrina_Adams.
Let's hope that most chapters like the last one will appear in one of the future chapters. I think I'm going to end this story on a happy note, unlike most of my oneshots and such.
harlquingirl:
I'm feeling...okay. Well enough to write. I shouldn't be fully better for another month or two. I don't know, the doctors wanted to be vague. Anyway, I'm glad you're liking it.
Kill_the_mainstream:
Yay! Everyone's hailing me now. :) I know that this chapter probably answered, well, a lot of questions that you had brewing in your brain hole thingy. (I'm really tired.) So yeah...I don't think this will be as exciting now that I've answered the biggest question.
I'll try.
The thing I love most about this story is how much feedback I get from it. It always amazes me. I hope that doesn't change because of this incredibly short and revealing chapter.
