NICHOLE'S POV
"I'll never let them hurt you, I promise." Gerard whispered, hugging me. I hugged him back.
"Gee, I'm sorry." I said, "If anything, Bailey will try to kill off either me or you. But possibly you because he wants to marry me. But I am not going to ever marry someone who doesn't like me hanging out with my best friend." I whispered and hugged Gerard tighter.
GERARD'S POV
After what happened with Bailey, I decided to let Nikki stay at my house. I let her sleep in my bed and I would sleep on the couch. I was nearly asleep on the couch when Nikki walked in.
"Gerard?" she asked, sitting on the floor beside the couch, "Just to let you know. I know why Bailey hates you so much." I just looked at her, although I doubt she would be able to see me, "Because he's a vampire." she whispered the 'vampire' part of that.
"What?" I said, "You dated a . . . Why?"
"Because its one of mum's friend's son. Mum had always thought he was a loyal friend, and before she died so told me to she wanted me to marry him and dad had to make sure I did. Then dad got killed, I never got told how, which was a pity. Dad was my favourite, but he showed love for Shane more. I miss both my parents." she sighed, "I took it all a little too far. I should've been afraid of him from the start. But, no. I wasn't."
"Don't doubt yourself." I said, "We just have to, umm. Find somewhere safe." I said, "But for now, lets get some sleep."
"Okay." she said. She got up on the couch beside me. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her.
NICHOLE'S POV
I got up on the couch and laid down beside Gee. I smiled and drifted off to sleep.
The middle of the night came around when I woke up again. I sat on the floor and watched Gerard sleep. I moved his hair from his face and whispered, "I love you." in his ear. I turned around and walked towards the front door.
"I love you too." he murmured in his sleep. I quickly left out the door and ran down the street. Without taking a second look, I disappeared into the dark of the night . . .
